The first time I saw this film, I was deeply attracted by it. I have seen thirty or forty Japanese samurai films, and this one is a reflection on the way of Bushido. The samurai were civil servants in ancient times. Without a big name, the samurai lost their status and salary as a civil servant, and became an unemployed civil servant ronin. Without income, I can only make a living by doing handicrafts, because the pressure of life after begging a daughter to get married and have children, plus the begging daughter’s wife and children are sick, and there is no money for medical treatment, so she can only sell the ancestral samurai sword, the result is still not enough.
