Pain and sadness are always contagious

It's just a sad version of our lives. There are other versions, where everything is fine - I love the idea, it's good - somewhere, we're still having a good time. When
Becca said this, it was still with sadness, her blurred eyes seemed to look through another world, in that world she could watch her son grow up, buy him candy and tell him to be careful of cavities, I can read to him in the library, I can make three breakfasts to get compliments from my husband and son, I can happily say that little Danny is studying baseball recently when someone asks about my family, I can give my son's clothes to my unborn nephew... But There is no son in her world, she has lost him. Without the habit of laughter, everything is meaningless, and things around are always extra sensitive. Children's paintings on the closet, child seats in the back of the car , the husband's straightforward thoughts of his son, the pregnant sister's rejection of the clothes she gave him... All this is so piercing to her, as if the whole world is laughing at her for failing to protect her child. She resents God, Resenting the God who took away her child, she took anger on others. A child's car accident made Becca and her family full of contradictions.
When Becca said this, the sadness seemed to be different from usual. She was relieved that She has a happy self in another world. She really sees that what she can do is not to take anger at others, but to face up to the people who care about her. She does not believe in God, but she believes in the existence of parallel worlds. She is angry that people around her bring up her son , but also considerate of the young man who caused the accident. She found herself so contradictory, and she got rid of her pain through contradiction. She thought that her own suffering was unparalleled, and those who tried to express empathy made her feel crazy, she Bringing the pain to the people who care about her. Maybe she just needs a good reason to get rid of the burden and accept the joy of life. That reason is like a rabbit hole in Alice. So when she saw the young man who caused the accident, she didn't Resentment, and some are the sustenance of the son.
Watching this movie with a very tangled mood, I wondered if life is like this, pain and sadness are always contagious. When we face pain and loss, think about what we should do is to accommodate those who love us for our own sadness, or to cherish the past and cherish the present. We should not express our pain with paranoia and rage for a long time. The real way to get rid of pain is to face the eyes. The end of life is the same, we should be the most free version of ourselves.

    Becca: [voice-over] And then what?

    Howie: [voice-over] I don't know... Something though.

  • Nat: You know, Becca, when your brother died, I found the church very helpful.

Becca: I know. I know you did, but that's you. That's not me, and Danny... Danny isn't Arthur.

Nat: You know, I brought you to church every Sunday.

Becca: Let's not start this again, okay, Mom? I'm just... I'm just calling about the cake.

Nat: You're not right about everything, you know? What if there is a God?

Becca: Then I'd say he's a sadistic prick.

Nat: All right, Becca, that's enough.

Becca: "Worship me and I'll treat you like shit." No wonder you like him. He sounds just like Dad.
