Similar design to The Butterfly Effect, but only focuses on one change. Anyone who looks at it will think that the detective is the little boy. The suspenseful atmosphere is well laid out. It's just that the ending is not strong enough. If the police detective and I had another conversation when I was a child at the end, it would be better to have a bigger brain hole.
Watching this movie again, I feel that the choice of the heroine to commit suicide by jumping off the building is not shocking enough. I always feel that the two main stories are actually a bit too detached. One is the neighbor cheating, being discovered, murdering and hiding the body, and the other is a kind of mutual crossing between the little boy and the heroine.
Imagine if the role of the little boy was placed on the son of the cheating mother, it felt like a better narrative overall.
