Restoring the truth of history

The filming is very beautiful and beautiful, and even the place where the murder is made is a place where the wind blows and grass lows. I can't help but imagine that I can run to the other half of the earth that day and touch the endless green.

Despite this, it may be that the expectations for Cannes are too high, and I am still a little disappointed. Although the whole film is very long, the switching of the scenes is more than smooth, and the details are not enough. It is a bit like watching a movie excerpt. The story and characters are not very full, and it feels like it's just a step away. The protagonist's own mentality, and the mentality of the protagonist's brother are all rough and linear. From my understanding, the director seems to want to choose a section from history, rather than a panoramic interpretation of the history of Ireland's struggle for independence.

What I admire about the director is that he can make such a frank description of a history that has not been dusted. The debate on freedom, democracy, and sovereignty in movies is still very valuable, even today.
