If I can, I can do it.

Dolphins in captivity pretend they are not happy with smiles, so why not let dolphins live? !

After watching this film, I had a lot of feelings that I wanted to write down and express, but when I really faced it and wanted to say it, I really didn’t know where to start.
This should be the most touching of all the movies I've seen. There is no clear picture, no gorgeous special effects, and no complete plot. It can be said that it is not a movie, its narrative is too real, so real that all the pictures are real, bloody reality, unacceptable reality.
Everyone knows in their hearts that in this world there are many insider shady stories, which we cannot tell and understand, and which we are not allowed to see, otherwise it would not be insider or shady. I have speculated on such and such unspoken rules countless times, but I have never seriously cared about the killing behind animal protection.
I have seen reports on TV of shooting rare wild animals and hunting large whales in the ocean. I feel the cruelty of human beings, but I don't really understand how cruel it is. "Dolphin Cove" touched my disgust for these cruelties, not only disgust but also hatred.
Rick, the central character of the film, used to be an excellent dolphin trainer. From the dolphin that committed suicide in his arms, he knew he was wrong, and he would use the rest of his life to save these creatures and fight for their freedom. He is slowly working hard, using his own strength to move everyone around him to fight for it.
In the end, he won't be a person and will be a spirit, I firmly believe.
I wonder if you have ever been to the aquarium to watch the dolphin show? I don't. I used to look forward to watching them spin and jump and see their gorgeous performances. If I see it now, I will have no expectations, no excitement, no joy, all I have is sadness and tears, for them. They have a smile on their face every time they perform, and they are big liars who fooled everyone who watched it and tricked them into being happy. Smile, what a disguise, it laughs at how stupid people are, not understanding the desire for freedom behind the smile.
At the IWC (International Whaling Commission), look at the oath published by the little Japan, their achievements in the whaling industry, the time to die is shortened every year, and most of the prey die on the spot, and they are proud of this data and progress. Can shortening the time of death wipe out your cruelty? There is nothing crueler than death.
Looking at the bloody water in that bay, my heart bleeds along with it, and listening to the dying cry of the dolphin, my tears couldn't stop pouring out. How can you get your hands on it, every one you insert is a beautiful life, and there are more than one death in your hands, when will the bloody hands stop?
Dolphin meat contains a lot of tribute. Do you understand that not only dolphins are hurting, but you are also hurting yourself. You are slowly killing yourself with poison. Use the poison you have preyed on and feed it into your belly, not to mention killing yourself, and you will kill those ignorant young children for the rest. That is your hope for the future, can you bear it? Do you have a conscience? Humans, the most intelligent creatures in legends, have been doing stupid things. Human desires are endless and society is unbalanced.
"Humans are dolphins' greatest threat and their only hope. If I can, I can."

Dolphins and other cetaceans do not breathe on their own, that is, unlike humans, they take every breath consciously, and when life becomes unbearable, they will end their own lives, as long as they are no longer Take your next breath of air. This looks really sad, doesn't it? In fact, it's not just Taiji and the Japanese government that we need to condemn, every one of us who goes to the ocean park to enjoy the dolphin show is a killer.

The Cove quotes

  • Richard O'Barry: If you aren't an activist you're an inactivist

  • Richard O'Barry: The thing that turned me around was the death of Flipper, of Cathy. She was really depressed. I could feel it. I could see it. And she committed suicide in my arms. That's a very strong word, suicide. But you have to understand dolphins and other whales are not automatic air breathers, like we are. Every breath they take is a conscious effort. And so they can end their life whenever life becomes too unbearable by not taking the next breath. And it's in that context I use the word suicide. She did that. She swam into my arms, looked me right in the eye, and took a breath... and didn't take another one.
