I don't understand why humans eat dolphins

When I started watching this movie, I didn't have great expectations, because I saw the introduction of this movie on TV very early. Although the process was indeed very difficult, it was made by non-professionals after all. After watching it, I feel that it is even more shocking for people who have not undergone film training to make documentaries.

I read it yesterday, and I still can't forget what I saw until today. Why do human beings eat this beautiful and intelligent creature? I asked myself again, why don't humans eat it?
We eat all kinds of fish, big and small, in mountains, rivers and seas, why can't we eat dolphins? You might say it's because dolphins are very close to people, dolphins are smart and have saved many people, that's why people psychologically think they shouldn't eat dolphins. And dolphin meat contains a lot of mercury exceeding the standard. But even cats and dogs that are used as pets by many people are not eaten by many people? Suddenly I felt guilty.

Thinking of those scenes of hunting dolphins, it was bloody, not an instant death as the Japanese spokesperson said. And those people who pass dolphin meat into the market as whale meat, don't they feel guilty...
Those politicians who decide to use dolphin meat as lunch meat in primary and secondary schools across the country are undoubtedly exchanging their children's health for awareness Control, let these children establish the belief that dolphins are eaten from a young age, so as to transform Japanese culture? !
...
if given a choice, I'd like to play with these beautiful creatures in the ocean, not watch them perform in an aquarium, or be my meat on the plate...never. Even if they can't play together, I just want to be able to see them jumping in the ocean through the media...

It is also worth mentioning that these people's courage to reveal the truth is quite shocking. It's like watching a commercial blockbuster, a pinhole camera disguised as a rock, a world-class diver, an infrared camera...hey~ I'm so persistent, I'm moved, and I have confidence at the same time~~~

The Cove quotes

  • Hardy Jones: Every cetacean known to man is endangered just by going anywhere near Japan.

  • Richard O'Barry: A dolphin in the right spot can make a million dollars a year. There's a lot of money in it. If you get in their way - and I get in their way - it can be very, very dangerous.
