The success of Ghost Slayer's Blade is inseparable from people's desire for friendship

I waited until I finished reading the manga to comment. After reading it, I found that if I didn't read the follow-up manga, many of the plots in the animation would be a bit abrupt, but this is due to the limitation of space and the animation producer, and there is no way. I think Ghost Slayer can be held to such a high level that the sales of comics and movies have broken all kinds of records at once, because its positioning is not the same as that of Wang Dao comics.

First of all, Ghost Slayer is very deliberate and overplays the pitiful nature of the villain. In the first few episodes, I thought it was quite novel, but in the middle, like many people, I felt that it was too much, and I didn't understand why every ghost had to give so much space to recall. In many bad reviews, this is classified as a procrastination of whitewashing. In fact, I thought so too, until I saw that Shang Xian San could have survived, but he chose to die, I didn't realize that I had always known but ignored one thing, that is, everything except Wu Miserable. Ghosts are human until they become ghosts. Except for a few individual ghosts, most of the people are forced to become ghosts, or like Shang Xian San, they have no love for life and feel that it doesn't matter what they become. Some people are willing to become ghosts in order to repay their parents, willing to become ghosts in order to protect others, and willing to become ghosts in order to live. Wu Mian took advantage of their weaknesses to turn them into ghosts. After they became ghosts, they would forget the memories of when they were born, but their obsessions will remain. I remember the most profound ones like the six pairs of family members in the last chorus of Spider Mountain. The attachment of the six pairs of brothers and sisters, the attachment of the pair to become stronger, they will all be attached to what they have lost or want but cannot get. But before dying, they retrieved their memories of being human and reconciled with their attachments. More importantly, they all regard death as liberation, and they all carry human memories. When they die as human beings, without exception, when they reminisce, what they take away are those they can't let go. And what makes this logic stand is the protagonist Tanjiro.

Tanjiro's character design allows the main framework of this work to be established. Although his compassion for ghosts has been criticized by many people, many people say why the whole family was killed by ghosts and showed compassion to ghosts. But in fact, many people's premise is wrong, because Tanjiro does not pity ghosts, but people before they become ghosts. Tanjirou's resentment against ghosts has always existed, but most of the time the object is not the ghosts who were killed, but the miserable. And Tanjirou's pity for the people before he became a ghost is very understandable, because his own sister is also a human, if he denies those ghosts, it is tantamount to denying his own sister.

Speaking of sister Nezuko, her brother-sister bond with Tanjiro is the last important element that supports this work. In fact, it is not only the bond between brothers and sisters, but there are also many bonds among brothers, so it can basically be understood as brotherhood. Anyone who understands Japan should know that the relationship between siblings in Japan is very weak, but if you ask them if they want a sibling relationship like Tanjiro and Nezuko, I think most people want it, so in reality They found the brotherhood that they couldn't get in the ghosts. This setting of mutual support and mutual support has also brought many audiences that Wang Daoman did not have in the past, that is, female audiences. I found that there are really many female audiences who like Ghost Slayer, far more than the general Wang Dao. As far as my own observation is concerned, there are definitely more female audiences who like Ghost Slayer than Sea of Dead Fire, which is one of the main reasons why Ghost Slayer can succeed. For most female viewers who have no interest in Wang Dao comics, Ghost Slayer's relatively more Wang Dao battle is still very bloody and novel. After the fierce and bloody battle to defeat the ghost, the ghost's memory chapter will make the female audience empathize again, and Tanjiro's pity can also catch the female audience's taste, and then make them more identify with the ghost.

Ghost Extinguisher has brought us a lot of things that are different from the past. Although there are no new elements, it has collided with new sparks. Finally, I must affirm the author. As a work that can be called phenomenal, after the animation is finished, the comics actually enter the final plot, and it is not sloppy. After Xia Xian Liu, the others were skipped directly. It is also a good design to arrange the chapters of Yanzhu and Xia Xian Yi in the theatrical version. In my opinion, that section is the turning point that changed the whole work. The plot of the final winding is also very smooth, there is no chance for people to breathe, and it is done in one go. I only gave it four stars, because Ghost Slayer has not reached the height of steel or giant, and there are still some flaws in the plot, but it is indeed a work with a high degree of completion.
