About Martrix-Metaphor and Reality

I don’t know if this movie is my projection. How I look at it is a metaphor, and one after another.

Matrix, a huge system, ubiquitously controls people's thoughts and behaviors, similar to today's XX. The difference is that it is so advanced that it can create all the feelings of people, making people ignore the reality and satisfy the status quo. The ultimate goal is to turn the characters into a part of the machine, and finally obtain energy. Here is a typical industrialized society's utilization logic. In the movie, the protagonist was told by the boss when he was late as a software company employee. It can be turned into the familiar slogan-do it well. . . Of screws.

On the other hand, this system is so powerful that it can control everything, but still dare not let humans know the truth that they have become a slave. Nowadays, many politicians make good use of isolating the truth and creating false public opinion. The comparison between the two worlds in the movie makes people scary. The real world is extremely desolate, and everyone’s head is behind. Jack, living in disgusting mucus and intubation like a poisonous snake, the first baby survives on the juice of the dead; but the virtual world is orderly, vibrant, and glamorous. I simply suspect that the director deliberately went to such extremes to fully demonstrate his abhorrence to the policy of fooling the people.

Another plot that impressed me was the choice Morpheus gave Neo. The red pill represents the truth, but at the same time it is unacceptable; the blue pill, after eating, you can forget everything and return to the illusion. Continue to meet. The typical paradox can almost go to the deepest part of human nature. Do you want to be sober and cruel or confused and stable? Putting it into reality, it may be like the problems we often encounter, whether to take public examinations or postgraduate entrance examinations, whether to go abroad or stay, whether to love you or your love. . .

After the movie magically turns reality, this choice becomes less suspenseful. Neo chose red. Sitting in front of the movie, I believe that a large part of us will choose red. Because of this, both movies and life can be seen. But when the traitor among the hackers conspired with the computer man Smith, he gulped sips of virtual wine and chewed virtual juicy beef, saying a classic saying that ignorance is happiness. Doesn't make sense? It makes sense, reality tells us time and time again that reality is cruel and ideals are nowhere in sight. I fully understand this traitor, although obviously, because of disgust, I forgot his name. .

Speaking of this traitor, I have to praise the director for his thoughtfulness and keen insight into human nature. Under the entire system, the positioning of each character and their response are equally interesting. Treating people as screws does not mean that there is no feeling for screws. When a screw knows that he is just a screw, when a pawn knows that he is just a pawn, what's more, when a pawn knows the game record, what should he do?

In the movie, in addition to the horrendous beings who don't know where they are at all, the hackers who realize that they are pawns chose two paths: resistance and catering. Rebels such as Morpheus Tritini and others needless to say, the caterer is this traitor. He clearly knows his own position and value, and has formed a cooperative relationship with the system, which is of course out of the big theme. In the end, he has only a dead end. But in reality, we can see that those who compromise with reality can often live better. The death of the traitor, death in a miracle, is also an insinuation. The so-called powerlessness of justice in the truth is more vividly expressed. If this traitor must learn a lesson, then the lesson will be: since you are a chess piece, then please pay attention to other chess pieces~~~~~~

Metaphors I want to talk about later It’s no longer a metaphor. Morpheus’s training for Neo, his growth and changes, is full of the self-realization and self-transcendence that Western philosophy and American blockbusters are willing to pursue. The ending is even more ridiculously close. The fairy tale, Neo, who was originally dead, was resurrected because of Tritini’s confession and a kiss, and became an invulnerable and powerful savior. It is an infinite highlight of the power of love, but it always makes me feel privately. Hastily and abruptly, a bit like a dog's tail.

At this point, I think of the SKYPE discussion with Mou Mou in the office in the afternoon. She complained that many foreign websites were blocked in China, but I couldn't understand it at all, because I didn't have the habit of going to these websites. I am also ignorant and happy about the so-called control of public opinion. In the end, she added a word of helplessness, child, you should contact the world more. Her tone is gentle, but I can still feel the attack. Of course, this attack was actually caused by the closed feedback or denial I gave her. Modesty is my greatest strength, because I know my ignorance and I have a low enough attitude to deal with others. Similarly, humility is also my greatest weakness, because it emphasizes my ignorance too much, which sometimes causes others' arrogance first. Deeper, too much humility suppresses the need for narcissism. When I have a conclusion in my mind, it will appear particularly stubborn, closed and aggressive. Should reflect on Ah.

However, what I still want to ask is, what if I contact? What if you know? Since I don't resist, then I would rather be ignorant.

In this era of information explosion, the so-called truth has long been stubborn. A lazy person like me has always been unwilling to join in the fun. At this moment, I understand my needs and limitations, only get what I can get, and learn from me. To learn. The microscope can see something because its field of view is narrow enough.

It turns out that I am also a traitor.

The Matrix quotes

  • Morpheus: Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself.

  • Morpheus: The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.

[Neo's eyes suddenly wander towards a woman in a red dress]

Morpheus: Were you listening to me, Neo? Or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?

    Neo: I was...

Morpheus: [gestures with one hand] Look again.

[the woman in the red dress is now Agent Smith, pointing a gun at Neo's head; Neo ducks]

    Morpheus: Freeze it.

[Everybody and everything besides Neo and Morpheus freezes in time]

Neo: This... this isn't the Matrix?

Morpheus: No. It is another training program designed to teach you one thing: if you are not one of us, you are one of them.
