The reason I don't think it's so classic is mainly because I think the theme is vague, it doesn't resonate much, and I don't have a lot of empathy.
However it is a really good movie. The artistic conception is beautiful, just like the title of the film, the whole film is shrouded in a faint blue. Every shot in the water is so quiet and addicting. The protagonist Jacques plays the innate temperament of Jean-Marc Barr, a shy big boy, his eyes and smile are as clean as the deep sea. Adorable dolphins bring liveliness to the film. That familiar piece of music playing repeatedly is also part of the film's canon.
Jacques is an absolute alternative. His physiological changes in the deep sea are different from ordinary people. He was born for the ocean. He is more like a member of the group of dolphins than humans. Every dive is more than enough, and he even enjoys staying in the deep sea more than racing, or life in the world. Enzo sees it as a competition and challenge, approaching and surpassing the limit again and again. But for Jacques, there seemed to be no limit, he belonged to the ocean. Johana's love was strong for him, stirring up waves in the calm heart, but his nature had destined his heart to return to the deep sea, there. It's a dark blue.
