The 2009.12.6
documentary is a bit tiring to watch, and it's in English. I have always disliked the food that I made by myself, such as yogurt, bread, biscuits... and so on. I think it is better to buy the convenience to have the skill of making it yourself! But I never considered the safety of the food I bought. I think that the food that has passed the verification, or the food that can be placed in the supermarket, should be safe~ But I was wrong. If it is beneficial to human beings, It's safe, so why do McDonald's and KFC in China open one by one! How many junk food is verified to endanger human health! In addition to the taste to satisfy our desires, isn't it because these are fast food! Food that can be eaten quickly! Yet how many people eat these things without thinking about what they're processed from, with or without added chemicals, even though they're all legal. But in other words, isn't the law also made by human beings! Isn't it all about money in this world? Money can change the law! ...I just hope, within my own limited scope, to eat as little junk food as possible, to choose healthy vegetables as much as possible, and to learn to cook as much as I can, not for fun, but for health!

Food, Inc. quotes

  • Joel Salatin: I'm always struck by how successful we have been at hitting the bull's-eye of the wrong target. I mean we have learned- for example, in cattle we have learned how to plant, fertilize and harvest corn using global positioning satellite technology, and nobody sits back and asks, "But should we be feeding cows corn?" We've become a culture of technicians. We're all into the how of it and nobody's stepping back and saying "But why?"
