This is life~

Lately, I’ve been thinking about death, aging, and consciousness… The joy and sadness we feel, including our own will eventually become nothing, the thought of what awaits us after we leave this world is the endless darkness and the unknown falsehood , at night I would even be so frightened that I couldn't sleep... Is there really nothing there? All my thoughts are wondering if there is a next place...

On another night like this, I opened a movie I wanted to see for a long time——

"A Man Called Ove Decided to Die"

The movie opens with a cute old man I like chattering. Because I love my grandfather's relationship deeply, I like all old men who are old and have personality. They used to be all-powerful in their era, guiding the country and mountains, and they were enthusiastic young people with ideals and willingness to make progress... Now they have washed their heads, but they are also calmly wearing silver hair and round belly, living their own life. Way to live happily in the warm sunset.

The old man in the movie is also cute! His daily life can be described as naive. Like my grandfather, he also has a big belly. He walks staggeringly. When he is angry, his eyes are round and his mouth is bulging. He is eccentric and grumpy. Go, accuse the neighbor's dog of pooping everywhere, check whether the garbage is sorted according to the regulations, and can't stand the vehicles that drive into the community illegally. Once they see it, they will chase the car and slap the window and yell... stubborn, impermanent, arrogant He's also a vicious tongue... He doesn't seem to be satisfied with anything, and he doesn't feel good about anyone... But, he is willing to help the long-winded old neighbor to fix the radiator; he can imitate the bear's voice and give the children fairy tale books; he helps the new neighbor take care of the children He cleaned up the messy kitchen at home by the way; when he was in a good mood, he would whistle leisurely; he bought flowers every day to talk to his deceased wife... He would spend his life loving people...

Let's go back to titles and themes.

Ove, this lovely old man decided to die. why? It starts with his past. All past memories are described by Ove's near-death experience each time he attempted suicide.

He lost his mother when he was young, lost his father when he was young, and his house and property were burned down by the demolishing team... she.

She stepped on red high heels and had delicate chestnut short hair, looking at Ove who woke up in a panic across the seat of the train. He had no money to pay for the ticket, and she graciously paid for him. Ove shyly did not dare to look directly at the beautiful girl sitting opposite him, and said, I will return the money to you. The girl wanted to chat with this handsome and harmless guy with great interest, but Ove immediately ran out of the car after arriving at the station...

When Ove got out of the car in a panic, Sonia handed over her luggage

The first time I met, I really felt that Ove didn't seem to have much interest in girls... But then he went to that train every day to go to that car at that time... Sure enough, he started to be bored and secretive since he was young...Old God finally let him meet the girl he had always dreamed of when he was about to give up. When we meet again, I still can't speak, I can't express, and I can't hook up... Having dinner together is still proposed by other girls.

I have always envied foreigners who can easily fall in love with a few words after a meal, so it must be a lifetime...

The whole meal was silent... I was sighing how this guy was so reserved and so incapable of flirting... He suddenly made a big move...

A casual answer hits the girl's soft heart.

So there is never a person who can't really flirt. When you love someone with your heart, any words spoken from the bottom of your heart will become the most touching love words.

Sometimes girls can be moved easily beyond imagination, just because a boy said a word, he followed him all his life.

After Ove, who had nothing, had Sonya, the whole world was illuminated by her again.

The two of them are the most ideal love, and they will know each other well in the days that follow.

Sonia is like a little angel who came to the mortal world. Even if she accidentally loses her child and becomes disabled, she will choose to work hard to live. Accidents and hardships made her even more beautiful.

It's a pity that Sonia left first and took Ove's entire world with her.

"The more idiots talk about her, the fewer memories I have of her," old Ove said...

Life, before you and after you, does not exist.

After forty-three years of work, Ove decides to leave this world and find Sonia.

Because Ove thinks "I don't like the whole world I only like her"

Ove, who made up his mind to commit suicide, died N times without success...

Every time at a critical moment, his "suicide to find a wife" plan is blocked by the world he hates in various ways. He gave up hanging twice to help the "new neighbors from hell" who couldn't do anything; he gave up carbon monoxide poisoning to drive the pregnant neighbor's husband to the hospital and took care of their children; Taking in the gay boy who was kicked out of the house and gave up swallowing the gun (before he was going to shoot, he covered himself with plastic paper, as if to make it easier for the person who found his body to clean up the scene... If he's going to die, don't you think so thoughtfully? ); he was afraid of causing a shadow on a child at the train station, and gave up suicide by lying on the rails... Ove's wish to die was "forced to be interrupted" again and again by an endless pile of trivia, by this annoying world .

I think all those people he despised might have been sent by God to save him, and all of this was Sonia protecting him in the dark.

But Ove feels angry

(•̀へ•́╮)

In fact

Ove has never let go of the world, and is so easily stumped by trivialities. He has zero tolerance for those who violate his principles and must personally correct them; he helps the neighbors he despises time and time again; he has a lifelong fight with a like-minded person because of the car; he fights wits with the villain "white shirt" and government officials Fighting bravely; he took in the cats that no one wanted; he maintained the order of the community for most of his life... He was entangled with countless little people and little things.

In fact, it's a good thing to have an affair with others, isn't that what life is all about?

Like Dad told me before, sometimes don't be afraid to bother people. People are in the relationship between mutual troubles, and the feelings are entwined.

Ove is also loving the world with his life.

Ove died one snowy morning.

Not suicide.

He lay naturally and peacefully in his bed

The Ragdoll he adopted was lying on his round belly

This is how Ove lived his entire life.

Paranoid and cute

(As for why he finally gave up and died, I don't want to go into details here (actually, I'm just too tired to write...) I want to know if I go to the movies! Put a screenshot of my favorite and make a simple guess??]

The birth of the new neighbor's third child

If you don't believe me, I watched this movie with tears in my eyes from beginning to end.

Ove has been standing on the edge of my worst fear - death.

Ove felt like he had lost the whole world when he lost his Sonya.

We keep losing all our lives...until we lose our lives at the end...

But at the same time, he has also been living for the good things that he once had and what is happening in the future.

You will never understand how much effort we have put into making life interesting.

After watching this movie, I babbled so much

The last one just want to sigh

They're all little people, don't talk too much.

It's good to be alive~

A Man Called Ove quotes

  • Ove: Some people say that fate is the result of our own foolishness.

  • Ove: Hey! What are you doing?

    Mähät: It scratched Prince.

Ove: Throw another stone and I'll sew a doormat with your mop!

Mähät: It is a chihuahua. And the cat certainly has both rabies and plague.

Ove: Oh, yes. Clearly, you do, too, but we do not throw stones at you.

Mähät: You still think you can do whatever you want? Slimy fucking old man. I'll tell Anders.

Ove: Go ahead, tell him. If you can make someone who drives an Audi understand. Four zeros on the grill and a fifth at the wheel. If that dog pees in our area again, I'll electrify it. Idiot!
