Thirteen Girls in Jinling

In 1937, the Japanese army invaded Nanjing, rampant and rampant everywhere, devastated and shocking. It begins with an army being sacrificed in fierce fighting - to protect a group of schoolgirls from a missionary school. The schoolgirls took refuge in a church, and John took them in. Then came a group of women, the prostitutes that people called cheap. The female students looked down on them at first, even with contempt. But later, the Japanese army came to the church and attacked the female students. The female college students were about to be kidnapped and humiliated by the Japanese army. At this time, these women stood up and replaced the female students with themselves. They cut their hair short, as if they had become pure and clear when they were students. It can be seen how much suffering they have gone through to become what they are now? They have no choice but to become prostitutes, just to survive in this troubled world. But at a critical moment, they bravely stood up again, which was very moving. In fact, there are still many scenes in the film that left a deep impression on me and moved me, but what I want to say in the end is that we should not forget that tragic history. Much crueler. The thirteen hairpins of Jinling, they only represent a part of the people, but their bravery is worthy of our praise.

I didn't expect much of the movie because I had read the original. That's right, this is a "scheming" movie in which every element deliberately moves closer to the "good" direction. War scenes enlarged for commercialization, group dramas weakened for popularization, and character settings completely changed for Bell’s performance... But when I saw that cardamom and Lanxiang were caught, I followed the long shot and thirteen. Chai sang the scene of Qin Huai Jing in a row, and I really thought it was quite intentional.
