Good story, but the editing is like a hurricane

This kind of story is good to be narrated according to the timeline. The director probably wanted to increase the dramatic conflict and different performances, and adopted the jumping narrative method before and after the hurricane. As a result, it feels fragmented and always picks out the picture.

One second ago, the protagonist was worried about how to deal with difficulties. The scene turned and returned to the two romantic scenes in the picturesque, a feeling of old pause when watching intense action movies.

It is best for disaster films to be narrated according to the timeline, so that the audience can feel the joys, sorrows and sorrows of the protagonist, worry and rejoice over the ups and downs of fate together, enter the protagonist's inner world together, and feel their wild heart.

Real reproduction is not an accident investigation, but the logic of the development of things should be solid. Some of the logic in this film is not solid, such as:

The male protagonist is an old driver, and he was warned in advance. Why did he set sail before the hurricane came? Why not let the mast down, lock the steering wheel and hit the waves?

The male protagonist fell into the sea, was the female protagonist pushed it down, or was it shaken by the waves? Why isn't the heroine simply fixed?

Before the male protagonist begged to die, he lay down like a zombie and listened to the female protagonist's complaint, or what did he say?

As soon as the male protagonist dies, the female protagonist will immediately be resurrected with full blood, kill fish and eat meat, and survive successfully? Have you ever been disappointed in this?

In this kind of disaster survival movie, despair, hope, emotional changes, freshwater food collection, and utilization of broken ships are all the highlights. Unfortunately, the director has all taken it once, which seriously weakens the authenticity and brilliance of the story.

People like the hero and heroine are always an alternative and rare species of human beings, but they are the forerunners of human progress. Although ordinary people who eat melon are reluctant to imitate their exploration of life, they are still full of their powerful wild hearts. Curious, this kind of movie is well-made and has a market, such as the wilderness survival.

3.5 / The shooting attitude of several episodes is too sloppy, and I don’t want to watch the “vegetarian white hippies fall in love in Southeast Asia”. / I have seen many behind-the-scenes + interviews and I am still shocked by the hurricane lens (Shailene received it in the past two years). The drama is so hard (I haven't swimed for a month, so after watching the shipwreck movie, I actually want to buy a boat and go to sea?

Check it out before the show. Overall two timelines. The heroine has extraordinary courage, willpower and wisdom. Unfortunately, at the age of 24, she encountered a Category 4 hurricane and lost her lover Richard, who was 10 years older than her. I thought that the two of them arrived in Hawaii successfully, but the previous one was just a small hallucination, and I strayed into a big hallucination. In fact, at the beginning of the plot, the heroine asked the hero what the real experience at sea was like, and he said that he had hallucinations on the third day. The next scene is that the heroine wakes up after the hurricane and can't find Richard's despair and helplessness. It is their love that supports her to Hawaii. After seeing the land bird, the heroine fired two sea rescue bombs at the ship, and the ship whistled in her direction, are you ok? Yes, the plot ends here. The heroine arrived at the island of Hawaii after more than 40 days in the sea where there is no air navigation route. The entire environment portrayal and character makeup are well done. The only thing I didn't understand was the execution of the transaction with the old French couple. Such a messy comment, I should tick the ones that are only visible to me.

  • Tami Oldham: We're probably dead already.

Richard Sharp: Exhausted... Dehydrated... Delirius... Yeah. But you're not dead.

  • Tami Oldham: Am I hallucinating? Oh, my God, we're gonna die out here! We're gonna die out here!

    Richard Sharp: We might.

Tami Oldham: You're not supposed to say that!

Richard Sharp: You'd rather I lied to you?

Tami Oldham: Yes, please lie to me. Just tell me it's gonna be okay.
