A movie I watched in the 'home theater' on Sunday, peaceful, warm and full of joy. The original French version is called The Upside, and the American version is called The Upside.
Rich man Philip challenged a paraglider in a storm to cause a high paraplegia, and the death of his cancer-stricken wife made his life even more difficult. Dell, a black care worker, just got out of prison. In addition to being healthy and penniless, he is also at the bottom of his life. And just like that, two extremes met over a casual interview at Dell. The first time I met Dell was direct and indifferent. The most important thing was that he treated the disabled Philip equally, which made this rich man feel fresh. On the other hand, his extremely unprofessional nursing skills also hit the life at that time to some extent. Hopeless, Philip with the idea of 'begging to die'. But neither of them thought that this encounter would be a journey of mutual redemption for the two of them. Dell's equal treatment and life humour rekindled Philip, and Philip also tapped Dell's strengths to help Dell get start-up capital.
Although there are small twists and turns in the back of the film, the two people get along with each other by breaking the class, race, skin color, and treating each other as equals, and their hearts have been tightly bound together. They are true friends, rare and precious.
