love freedom

Bertolucci is always talking about freedom, "Dream of Paris" is more about political freedom, this film is about freedom of love.
Should people choose animalistic rambunctious forms, or socialized delicate dances such as tango?
To refuse to mention the name is to refuse to socialize, to maintain the original impulse of love.
And dancing, Marlon Brando said at the end of the credits, "The Tango is a rite, you must watch the legs of the dancers."

Ex-wife Rosa was imprisoned by marriage and found freedom outside of marriage but also died because of it.
Marlon Brando has always been free, and eventually his lover, Jeanne, hated and died.
But his last words before his death said, "Our children remember," that there will always be generations of people who will go through fire and water in search of freedom.

Nostalgic literary movies are pretty good-looking

I admit that this movie is more difficult to understand, but it brings me a sense of despair, a bit like when I watched "Far From Casino" before. I have to say that Bertolucci has mastered the combination of sex and human nature so well, and he has always done so! Seeing Varda in the screenwriter, I was shocked...Marlon Brando is so decadent so good
