Ip Man 3 was released today, and I went to the theater to watch this movie for the first time! In general, the first movie is almost a classic, and the latter one is not as normal as the first, and the same is true for this Ip Man 3. The main creator seems to have no fresh content to present to the audience, so the overall plot is mediocre, which inevitably falls into a cliché. The theme of this time is family affection and authenticity. Too much expression of family affection will make the plot procrastinate and the rhythm too slow. Obviously, it is not as enjoyable as the first two films. However, in terms of movement design, this time, Director Ye invited Ba Ye as a martial arts instructor. When I was studying, Master Liang Shaohong said that his son was a technical consultant. I could see that among the Wing Chun played by Zhang Jin, there was Master Liang’s Wing Chun. Features are inside. Ba Ye's action design is still chic and gorgeous, but as a Wing Chun person, the movements are a bit exaggerated, but Ba Ye is still one of my favorite martial arts in terms of movements! The "authentic battle" between Zhang Jin and Donnie Yen Wing Chun vs. Wing Chun may be the highlight of the whole play, but is authenticity really that important? I believe that Wing Chun people who have watched the movie will have some insights of their own! The thing that moved me the most in the whole play was actually Zhang Yongcheng's sentence "I haven't heard you beating a wooden dummy for a long time" in the terminally ill. I don't know, who is the one who wants to hear the sound of my wooden dummy!
