Before leaving, I want to use up the movie tickets issued by my father's unit.
I don't know what movie to watch, I watched the recently released movies on Tao Piao Piao, and there is nothing I particularly want to watch. I just thought that I would go out to the cinema in the afternoon, and watch whichever one is closest to it at the time of arrival. Fortunately, it is "The Adventures of the Bull". A cartoon that I don't regret after watching it and I'm glad I watched it.
The first half is relatively stable. Ferdinand is a "flower lover" who doesn't want to be a bullfight. Seeing that his father went to the bullring and never came back, he mustered up the courage to escape from the bull house. On the night of the escape, I was very lucky to meet Nina and his father and live a very happy life. If the movie stops here, there is no conflict, and there is no turning point, then there is no need for the audience to continue watching. So, in the story, the beautiful happiness is always interrupted. The villain is just as integral to the story as the villain.
Nina and her father are going to the town for a flower festival, and Ferdinand, who loves flowers and has grown into a giant, also wants to go. But given that it was a behemoth, it was left at home. However, this also cannot resist its determination to go to the Flower Festival. After several struggles, it ran to the Flower Festival, successfully destroying the Flower Festival and causing panic among the townspeople. As a result, it's back home to the Bulls.
Ferdinand is a bull who has enjoyed freedom and love. How could it be possible to endure the life of the Bull House. What's more, the bull's house has already changed, and the bull faces only two choices: bullfighting or beef cattle. Neither was Ferdinand's favorite. It wants to escape. In fairy tales, kind characters always have their help. Here is no exception, goats, hedgehogs, have become good friends of Ferdinand. Ferdinand has also successfully wooed other bulls.
The most difficult to win over is Valente.
Valente was instilled by his father with the idea of bullfighting from birth, and what he saw and heard at the Bull House also told him that there were only two choices in life: "bullfighting" and "beef bull". It doesn't want to be a beef bull, so it desperately wants to be a pit bull. It provokes Ferdinand and wants to prove itself as the best bull. Unfortunately, it backfired and it failed. In the competition with Ferdinand, he broke his horn and finally became a beef cow. The broken horns are Valente's broken hopes and dreams. It reluctantly accepted the arrangement of fate and became a beef cattle. The scary thing is that when Ferdinand rescued it, it was still indifferent and accepted its own destiny. It doesn't want to be a flower-loving cow. Unlike Ferdinand, it doesn't know what to do outside. Ferdinand told it, "You can do what you like."
Valiente became a tragic hero in my eyes. It is brave and powerful, and it is desperate for its own dreams. Although failed. Its failure is not the failure of a bull like it. The environment they are immersed in, the education they have received since childhood, they do not know the other possibilities of life. It is their destiny to move forward along the well-established track of life.
And Ferdinand is the sober person described by Mr. Lu Xun. It sees both bullfights and beef cattle ending in death. It bravely pursues what it wants. It is a hero in people's hearts. At the end of the story, it won its own life and offered flowers. Ferdinand is one of the few sober people, but unlike the sober people described by Mr. Lu Xun, Ferdinand has a happy ending.
Ferdinand, along the way, has an enlightened father who loves it, a warm Nina family, and his own strength.
And Valente, whose indifferent father asked for it was bullfighting, and it grew up in the bull's house. At the end of the story, it also left. In the end, he arrived at Nina's house. This is probably the best ending the writer and director can give. After all, how can a bull with a broken horn survive in a bullfighting and bull-eating Spanish society?
May you run away bravely, and may you meet Nina's family.
