There is a bull in the heart, sniffing the roses

I don’t agree that this is a simple warm drama that expresses the spirit of freedom. On the
contrary, many scenes in the film allude to the lives of most people.

We always think that
life has no choice
and is full of too many passives and helplessness
. Like Ferdinand’s in the film Friends, firmly believe that
the fate of cattle is
either bullfighting or beef cattle
and the fate of people is
either fame and fortune, or nothing.

We think that
success and excellence are the only destiny.
We think that if we stop, we
will be "eaten".
Dominated by huge fear,
keep moving forward, keep chasing,

even if one day
we really do
become a majestic bullfighting bull in the bullring,
we get the cheers and applause of the people as we wish, and the
show ends. All that's left is the horn medal on the wall, the
lost joy
, the precious time,
it's just to please someone for a moment ,

maybe
we're just like Ferdinand's friends,
forgetting
that we still have the power to choose,
forgetting We also have the right to break free from the shackles of the world.

There are thousands of ways in life,
as Russell said, unevenness is the source
of happiness

You don't have to be like me, but you can do what you like.

I do
n't think it's indifferent to fame and fortune. How worthy of praise is the ordinary way of living,
but
love what you love, do what you do, and the right way in the world is also

Ferdinand quotes

  • Angus: [blindly stumbling about the yard, trying to blow his hair out his eyes] Ooh! Who did that! Oh, who pushed me? Who? Who... .

    [bumps into the tractor]

Angus: It was YOU, wasn't it?

Ferdinand: Actually Angus, it was me.

Angus: Aw, I'm doomed. I'm doomed, I'm doomed, I'm doomed! Primero picks a bull tomorrow, and I'm talkin' to a bloomin' tractor!

  • Angus: [Ferdinand figured how to get his hair out of his eyes for the first time in his life] I can see! Look, a rock! And another rock!

    [sees Lupe]

Angus: And the world's most ugliest dog! And there it is, my nemesis! I'm comin' for YOU, ye wee wooden devil!

[charges the barrel and destroys it]

Angus: I did it! I finally beat you!

[Jumps up and down on it]

Angus: Beat you! Beat you! Beat you! Beat you! Beat you! Oh, look at that, that's spectacular!

[he goes to admire the view across the countryside]

Angus: You've given me a fighting chance, Ferdinand. Why would you do such a thing?

Angus: If we don't look out for each other, who will? Besides, it wasn't that big of a deal.

    Angus: It was for me.
