A sincere story is never bad

Netflix takes over Black Mirror, and the temperament will definitely change. Even if it is 6 episodes in half a season, it is equal to the number of the previous two seasons. Although the stories are independent of each other, the sudden increase in the number of episodes gives Black Mirror the ability to tell some stories that were previously reluctant to tell in the volume of three episodes.

The most fancy special effects of Nosedive 4/5
are still placed in the first episode, which is more attractive than the little white words of New Sherlock Holmes. When I saw the part of the gas station, the only feeling was that the crew was really willing to burn money and made so many neat and uniform cars (maybe just the shell?), and when it was a background, a shot went by.
The orgasm is still pretty dark. I was wondering if the heroine's younger brother would show up and comfort the heroine. As a result, she was detained. Should the class division caused by the scoring system be extreme? What separates prisons is personal freedom; if you come to prison and swear a few swear words, will you be able to regain your spiritual freedom? I don't think so. At least the writers are encouraging everyone to be punk, and I won't talk about this episode if they can do it or not. The younger brother is a real punk, and so is the truck driver. It's comforting to think about that.
The younger brother did not appear to be a little obsessive about the plot, and the truck driver's mouthpiece was a bit deliberate, whether it was the setting or the content of the mouthpiece. These two points create (my personal) flaws in the viewing experience.

The Playtest 4/5
story is about people consuming their own fears. The hat-trick-style throwing on the street caused a wonderful reversal, but the second thing was that the three times were quite meaningful, echoing the foreshadowing.
The first time was due to lack of self-awareness, and the male protagonist traveled the world because of confusion. The second time was about motherhood fears, and this entire piece is online. But the third and final time, it went back to Black Mirror's usual "technology kills humans." Although this level is clear, it is not surprising, and it is quite satisfactory.

Shut up and dance 4.5/5
This episode seems to be mediocre, the story is not very exciting except for the joking protagonist, and the technology is not fancy.
But looking back, the slightly old-fashioned setting is a supplement to Black Mirror.
For an episode with a low budget, being able to tell a story with a similar setting to "Prime Minister x Pig" is actually a more in-depth discussion - ordinary people are not immune to the Prime Minister's experience, so the screenwriter tries his best to do it in one episode A lot of people were crammed in. The low-budget script can also be thought-provoking, which is brilliant for Black Mirror, which focuses on dazzling technology. "I don't need special effects to tell a good story" feeling.
The close-ups of several protagonists, especially the little brother, all show the sincerity and speciality of this episode.
It's admirable that Netflix can put out such an episode.

San Junipero 4.5/5
The intersection of technology and literature, it is refreshing. The setting of the climax goes back to the plot of the literary film, which discusses love and commitment, and has nothing to do with technology.
The setting of Black Mirror has always been in the near future (?). This episode can realize the era drama through technology, and it can set the artificial paradise so down to earth, which is really amazing.
Technological progress should endow human beings with well-being, and should also recognize the freedom of human choice.

Men Against Fire 3.5/5
is also a fresh episode. Using technology as a gimmick to discuss war, zf, and race.
The relationship between the enemy and the foe obtained from the notification, the walking dead also touched such a proposition, and Kashen once fed the walking dead. It's just that the leader borrowed technology to tell the soldiers. It involves many issues, but it is a bit messy:
1. Is the truth told the truth?
2. Reflection on the ethics of war
3. War destroys the spirit of soldiers
4. Knowing the truth is Not a good thing

, there's one episode left to make up

Nosedive quotes

  • Ryan: [picks up Pelican Cove brochure] Pelican Cove? What is this? A eugenics program?

    Lacie: A lifestyle community.

Ryan: [looks at the photo on the brochure] No one is *this* happy. A two-year-old with a fucking balloon isn't this happy.

  • Hansen: So in terms of quality, you could use a punch up right there. Ideally, that's up votes from quality people.

    Lacie: Quality people?

Hansen: High fours. Impress those up-scale folks, you'll gain velocity on your arc and there's your boost.
