Immortality and annihilation, the meaning of choice

Episode 4 was the best episode of the Black Mirror series I've ever seen. It explores the way life continues, and before death comes, gives ordinary humans a choice - immortality or ashes. Everyone makes different choices because of the meaning of life. Before k met y, he chose eternal death. In order to pay homage to his beloved husband and daughter, when he was about to leave, he chose to live forever in San Junipero and k. Why? Will there be such a change? Because how we view the meaning of life depends on the most important things in our lives, and after k meets y, love is the meaning of two people's existence, belief, and the meaning of k's choice to continue living. If I can see you after death, what's so scary about death? The advancement of technology brings hope and warmth - this episode is like a small candle in the gray series of Black Mirror.

1, recommended; 2, poor; 3, acceptable; 4, acceptable; 5, highly recommended; 6, highly recommended. Still worthy of five stars throughout the season.

1>4>6>3>5>2, the first episode that everyone scolds is the one that resonates the most with me. In fact, the moral dilemma of human beings is not who hates who or who wants to kill who, but the confusion and denial of self from the source. As for those who seized the logical loopholes and cursed, it was really boring.

Nosedive quotes

  • Lacie: Don't shit on me for aiming higher.

    Ryan: Pelican Cove higher?

Lacie: What's wrong with Pelican Cove? They're great apartments!

Ryan: They are fake-smile jail cells!

  • Truck Driver: Eight years ago, Tom, my husband, got cancer. It was pancreatic, a real bitch. The symptoms showed up late.

    Lacie: I'm so sorry.

Truck Driver: You don't know me, so you're not really sorry. You're just mainly awkward 'cause I have sprung some cancer talk at you.
