The Empty Room is the best work I've seen in recent times, and sometimes makes me wonder how unpredictable the imagination and creativity of Koreans can be. Watching Japanese films, there is always a general yearning: either inspirational, or warm, or violent, or perverted, or terrifying. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult to understand the purpose of Korean films. It does not reflect reality, nor does it express dissatisfaction. Because it is not real enough, it loses the possibility of imitation. Take the empty room as an example, the most normal understanding is that women who suffer domestic abuse must resist and fight for freedom. However, it seems that I can't hate the man who abused the woman too much. The woman did not leave the original house in the end. The unexpected behavior of the ghost man was not within the scope of thinking from the beginning. It blurs the audience's vision, has no specific meaning, and is not bad.
