Quills Quills

I just finished watching "The Quill", and the shock in my heart was huge and chaotic, too chaotic to express.

Some feelings, some of the deepest feelings, cannot be expressed in words.

In the face of feelings, or the soul, I have always been too arrogant, always trying to say something clearly, and I feel that I can clearly say something, just say it.

The depth and breadth of the feeling, the evil in the soul, and the feeling like water overflowing everywhere, cannot be stopped if we don’t follow the path. Facing these, our hearts are too narrow, let alone language.

The impulse that can trigger the soul is the proudest achievement of art, even if it is evil, but such art? It allows us to see this. It is likely to guide people from evil while venting their inner evil. How should we face such an art? The existence of Madeleine is the only hope of art, to prove the good, to prove the value of art.

Gradually understand the adherence to the feelings in the heart, and gradually understand not to speak lightly. Because not everyone is an audience, more loyal to feelings, for this loyalty that cannot be easily betrayed.

Don't talk about any feelings lightly, especially the subtle ones that are hidden deep inside.

Quills quotes

  • Marquis de Sade: This is a rare vintage from an obscure village in Bordeaux. Rather than crush the grape underfoot, they place the fruit on the belly of a bride, and reap its juices when the young husband steers his vessel into port. Full-bodied flavor, with just a hint of wantonness. Bottoms up.

Coulmier: It's from our own cellar. I recognize the taste.

Marquis de Sade: I should have told you it was the blood of Christ. You'd believe that, wouldn't you?

  • [Royer-Collard taking the new Abbe for a tour around, and introduces him his predecessor]

Royer-Collard: Prone to violence and perversions.
