It took some effort to find the source of the film, download it, and finally finished watching "Pain and Glory".
Almodóvar is my favorite Spanish director, none of them. He slowly finished most of his works during his illness. The colors are always bright and warm, the plots are fantastic and absurd, but they point directly to the truth of human nature. There will be such a bizarre story, but it will be pierced in the heart in an instant. As the years get older, the director's narrative has changed from the wild and violent in the early years to the still waters in recent years, but the tension of expression has not decreased but increased.
Pain and Glory is said to be autobiographical in nature. It's a blessing to be a film director, with the perfect tools to explain the world and write about life.
During the viewing process, I didn't see the marvels and emotional ups and downs of those strange films in his early years, but as the director sat down slowly in front of you and asked, "Can I have a drink? I have a good story in my life to tell."
The point that moved me deeply is this: when you reach the twilight of your life, your body and life begin to decline uncontrollably, so you plan to lie down and let the dust slowly bury yourself like you did with thousands of people in the past. At this time, those people and things that have lit up your life in the past, whether it is the highlight moment of the peak, or the regret and frustration that cannot be let go, whether it is the throbbing when consciousness awakens, or the unforgettable love, all of a sudden there are Echoes, pain and glory, tenderness and passion, nothing will come back, but everything will come back.
So, how can people not be arbitrary, how can they not live happily? Only in this way can you shake off the dead branches and leaves that have fallen from the years when you are willing, and look back affectionately.
The director of the film said: The best actors are not the ones who take advantage of every opportunity to cry, but the ones who try their best to control their tears.
Life is like a play, we all need to be good actors.
