Secret

The calmer the story

more impressive

like someone who understands you more

no need to complain

Just look at each other.

"Out of tune"

A lot of people feel bad, and I feel bad too, from a movie perspective.

But like a lot of "bad" movies, it will bring tears to your eyes.

Children laugh when they see Chaplin,

Adults look sad.

All good tricks and grandstanding are fleeting,

Laughed but can't remember.

Like a pianist in a movie, obsessed and persistent

If you don't share it with people, it can only be a skill.

It's the same journey that is touching.

She said, people can say I can't sing well,

But I can't say I didn't sing.

.

Just like this world, we once met.

No one blesses.

But we still love each other.

Even if only in a corner of the world.

Even if it's just a secret that can't be told.

.

"The girl told me to protect her dreams."

Contrary to expectations, director Stephen Frears is a master at telling women's stories, but such a funny movie is the first time. Under the surface of this interesting story, there is a deeply touching core; but it is different from the director's previous touching style that is getting better and better. Aunt Mei doesn't need to say more, as before, no matter what role you create, you can always make people watch it with appreciation.

Florence Foster Jenkins quotes

  • [First lines]

St Clair Bayfield: "Swounds I should take it, for it cannot be but I *am* pigeon-livered and lack gall to make oppression bitter, or ere this I should have fatted all the region kites with this slave's offal. Boody, bawdy villain! Remorseless, treacherous, lecherous, kindless villain! O vengeance!"

    [applause, takes a bow]

St Clair Bayfield: Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you, thank you. That was, of course, a speech of Hamlet's from a play I was lucky enough to perform in on several occasions, though not, as yet, in the principal role.

  • Florence Foster Jenkins: [dressed as Valkyre] How do I look?

    St Clair Bayfield: Wunderbar.
