What is civilization? There are no factories, no machines, no laws, but they are full of kindness and fun. At the other end of the so-called civilized world, machines bring mechanized division of labor, time brings busy workdays, and disjointed behaviors lead to laws. We thought that civilization took us through a life of ignorance, arrogance and disorder, but what we don’t know is that the so-called civilization also made us fall into a world that seems to be orderly but full of constraints, like the parts on the chain of factories, the division of labor is obviously repeated. . This ridiculous contrast in the film actually implies an ancient proposition. Between civilization and nature, is it nature that brings civilization and civilization adapts to nature? Or use civilization to change nature?

(1) About the film The

film is based on the clue that Hisoka lost the bottle of God and met Mr. Shi and others, interspersed with conflicts such as civil wars in the civilized world, the love story of the female teacher Miss Tang and Mr. Shi, through the conflict between Hisoka and the civilized world and adaptation, reflecting the conflict between modern civilization and nature. When God's bottle brought convenience and surprise to the Hiso family, it also brought competition and conflict to them due to scarcity. The bottle is a metaphor for the product of civilization or the baggage of civilization. Hisoka's process of throwing the bottle seems to throw away the baggage of civilization.

After watching the film, I can't help but admire how the director or screenwriter can metaphorize the contradiction between modern civilization and nature so subtly in the film, which makes you have to think more while laughing. At the end of the film, Hisoka's help allowed them to defeat the reactionaries, and the various weapons and tools of modern inventions are clumsy and redundant, even less than Hisoka's simple bow and venom, which seems ironic, but throughout the film, the editor The meaning is obvious.

(2) The gift and destruction of civilization

What has civilization brought us? It is undeniable that civilization has created many convenient tools, and various industrialized items have greatly enriched and satisfied our living needs. Just like in the film, the donors were amazed at the incredible things brought by the bottle at the beginning. But just like the sentence at the beginning of the film that left a deep impression on me: "A lot of things that were originally unnecessary have become necessary." Originally, they didn't need a bottle to grind the snake skin and break the fruit, but the appearance of the bottle made them crave this convenience. This makes people ponder, whether the various conveniences brought by civilization are necessary for the development of the material world, or are they catering to human laziness and greed?

So civilization has also cost us a lot. Our society has laws, prisons, advanced machines and tools, but what? Civil strife, war, and hypocrisy followed. Even if there are people like Miss Tang who are eager to change the status quo and escape from the complex, and there are people like Mr. Shi who are clumsy and righteous at heart, even with a car telescope, but in the end they will only be able to do it with the help of Hisoka using his natural powers Defeat the forces of evil.

In fact, this is not to say that modern civilization cannot resolve conflicts, but more importantly, modern civilization itself creates conflicts, and prisons and laws can only limit and remedy more or less. Why? Because civilization makes society progress, it also makes human nature more dissatisfied.

(3) There is a contradiction between fear and conquest

. This dissatisfaction greatly promotes the development of our society. Is the relationship between civilization and nature only living in a primitive society in great harmony? "We're not satisfied with nature, but we don't know enough to stop." This sentence in the film is in the line.

Contrary to the opinions of many people, I personally think that the donors in the film are not symbols of complete natural power, but they represent a more reasonable attitude of civilization and nature: awe. They are not afraid of nature, they know how to survive in natural conditions, and when "God" gives them a bottle, they embrace it. But when they found out that the bottle would bring disaster, they chose to return the bottle to God, not resisting and trying to conquer, but more like a compromise: we don't need such a gift, please take it back!
That is to say, in the face of nature, they are not only afraid of nature like primitive society, nor like the modern civilized world, thinking that they can change nature, that science and technology can make nature serve us or even conquer nature. Maybe we should learn from the generosity, adapt to nature and make reasonable efforts with nature in a timely manner. But you must grasp the degree, otherwise you can only suffocate in the various restrictions set by yourself, live mechanically in the civilization you created, and indulge in your own conquest of nature.

Between fear and conquest, the joint efforts of Mr. Shi and Hisoka can defeat the enemy. Why? Because neither the complete natural force nor the excessive civilizational force can solve the conflicts and contradictions in social development, only by combining with each other and neutralizing the two attitudes of fear and conquest, may we be able to move forward continuously.

Because civilization itself is conflict, and the arrogance of trying to conquer nature is the root of it.
