To be honest, I was looking forward to seeing the gossip between Kennedy and Monroe, only to find out that the movie is about Jackie within a few days after Kennedy's death (the specific time of the reporter’s interview is not clear). In fact, I always thought that biographies were not praiseworthy. It's just critical, so at first this film made me a little confused because Jackie is strong but also makes people feel vain. Later I realized that this is Jackie. The film tries its best to reflect a real person.
If you ask me to judge her, she is probably a good wife. It is obvious that Jackie and JFK’s marriage is in name only. There is a line in the movie, "We rarely spend a night together." But Jackie strives to maintain the happy appearance of this family in front of the world. Putting all his heart into dressing the White House as a warm home, making a TV show, Jackie said in the movie, "I hope he can be proud of me"
I believe that Jackie knows that her husband is outside in those romantic affair movies, she said to Bobby "you brothers did the shit", but it was the only time she told it to her mouth.
After JFK was assassinated, she insisted on holding a Lincoln-style funeral for him. In order for her husband to be remembered by the world as her husband’s cemetery, she communicated that "he deserves better" and the most impressive JFK was shot after she received a fatal shot. Subconsciously crawled behind the car and held the splattered brain tissue with both hands
After watching the movie, I also disagree with Jackie, but I admire her seriously performing her duties in marriage. I guess this is the kind of "British elegance."
