A little speculation about the ending: a story of redemption and being redeemed

When I was watching a movie, I kept thinking, is the tree monster real or is it a little boy’s imagination?

Many movies have similar themes, leaving some room for imagination for the viewers. As for what the viewer thinks, it is up to the benevolent to see the benevolent and the wise.

But this movie is different. After watching it, I choose to firmly believe that the tree monster is real.

why?

At the end of the movie, the little boy hugged his mother and cried out what he felt. His mother looked towards the corner with tears in her eyes. His mother saw the tree monster! Tree monsters are real!

And as mentioned earlier in the movie, my mother really likes the yew that can become a tree monster. It can be seen that my mother must know the secret of that yew tree. The relationship between my mother and the tree monster is unusual.

That one won't work!

And in the memory part of the film, there is a foreshadowing. When my mother taught the boy to draw, he drew a tree monster.

In the mother's picture album at the end, the mother drew the tree monster and a little girl who was the mother from childhood.

Why did mother know the tree monster when she was a child? Tree monsters help to heal people, so my mother may have been in pain when she was a child. She summoned the tree monster, and the tree monster healed her. Grandpa never appeared in the whole movie, maybe because grandpa had an accident when his mother was a child, so mother needs tree monsters to help her through the difficulties and loneliness.

A very warm movie, full marks!
