I personally think underwater movies are scary anyway (the same goes for the Widowmaker), but the vertical limit is a bit better, relatively speaking.
But I watched the 3D version in the theater, and it worked really well. Especially at the last moment, when he sucked the air in the water drop a little bit, the effect was very good.
And in terms of the difficulty of photography, this is many times more difficult than the vertical limit. Even if the effects in the holes are post-production, the original shots were all underwater.
And this is one of the few movies that has been changed based on facts. The reality is better than the movie, and it is pleasing to watch.
