"Mystery Apartment": Love Comes So Hard

Americans are happy, at least in the movie window, that's how I feel. Their faces are always filled with happy smiles, and even a middle-aged person can't see the sad face that has gone through the vicissitudes of life. They are so sincere when they are sad. A nation that can express its joys, sorrows and sorrows, isn't it worthy of envy?
The Mystery Apartment is one such movie. Love at first sight, and then pursue it, the seemingly messy pictures and esoteric plot can't stop me from loving this movie. The male protagonist, Matthew, is very handsome. He is madly infatuated with the woman he met, and he often follows quietly behind him. Until they met in a shoe store, he dressed up as a clerk, picked out shoes for a woman, and squatted down to try them on for her in person.
The woman's name was Lisa. With the woman's precise intuition, he recognized Matthew and followed his man. She knew that he fell in love with her. In the eyes of implicit Chinese, foreigners are always so direct in expressing their feelings, even women dare to love and hate. They can kiss and have sex without knowing each other's names. There is nothing to worry about, love is love, including delicate affection and charming sex. It just comes from a kind of trust and feeling that it feels right, everything goes with the flow, so Americans live very easily.
At the shoe store, Lisa takes the initiative to leave a date note. They had a first date, but no sequel. Lisa disappeared, and Matthew began his desperate search again. As if playing a game of hide-and-seek, the woman gave Matthew hope and disappeared, like water dripping into the sea. Matthew, who lives in hallucinations, always fantasizes about kissing, making love, hugging and seeing Lisa's graceful dance.
When he tried hard to find Lisa's place, he found another woman (Lisa's friend Arisa), a woman who was hurt by a man. Because of a misunderstanding, they met, and Arisa had a one-night stand with Matthew in order to retaliate against the man who hurt her. According to our thinking, this is incomprehensible, Matthew likes the dancer Lisa, not the nurse in front of him, because of loneliness and instinctive desire, they sleep together, there is no love but sex. The derailed body does not mean the derailment of the mind. Matthew still loves Lisa and lives in Lisa's world.
The story starts to become clear later. Lisa has a hot boyfriend Danny. The two quarreled, and in a fit of rage, Lisa ran to Arisa's house next door. So Matthew will feel Lisa's breath in this room, but he won't understand the relationship between Arisa and Lisa. The nurse knew that Matthew liked Lisa, but was unwilling to tell the truth. She fell in love with Matthew and secretly left Matthew's tie.
Lisa found the tie and recognized Matthew's. The mystery is revealed layer by layer, and the game of love is too complicated. Especially between two women and a man. In the face of love, everyone is selfish, especially women. Lisa was convinced that it was Matthew's tie, and she followed the trail hoping to find Matthew. At the Sherck Hotel, she found a note left by Matthew, but the phone went unanswered. There are lovers who always pass by, and the director is really annoying sometimes.
Lisa booked a flight to London and was about to leave. Matthew retrieves the lost hotel keys in the sewer. The process of finding love is long and painful. But as long as you persist, true love comes, and everything becomes beautiful. Arisa should have helped Lisa, but she didn't. She deleted Lisa's message to Matthew and called Lisa to tell her to forget about Matthew, saying that Matthew had sex with other women and was not worthy of love. When conspiracy is mixed in love, there is a shadow of evil. The nurse and Matthew's friend Luke slept together, and the enigmatic plot, the increasingly complicated clues, made me dizzy.
In the rapid changes of flashbacks, interludes, and montages, the clues gradually became clear. Matthew knew through the shoes that the nurse was not Lisa, Lisa was a size eight and a half, and the nurse (Alyssa) was a size seven. The lie was exposed at that moment, and with a cold goodbye, Matthew turned and left. An awkward scene occurs in the restaurant, where Matthew, Luke, and Alyssa meet at the same time. Matthew insinuated to himself: Sometimes, when you look at a person from a distance, you will have hallucinations, and when you touch it, nine times out of ten you will be disappointed.
Because of selfish feelings, Arisa broke up Matthew and Lisa, but what did she get? Matthew will never forgive the woman in front of him. And she and Luke were destined to never get together. Matthew found Lisa at the airport, and the background music played, although he couldn't understand it, it was very warm with a deep hug.
Love doesn't come easily. Misunderstandings, misses, sadness, despair... The tortuous process leads to a perfect ending. This is love in movies, not stories in life. In addition to envy, I also lament the helplessness of life. Matthew and Lisa have achieved positive results, and the lovers will finally be married, and where should I find my love?

  • [Matthew calls Luke on the phone while Alex is in bed with Luke]

Luke: [the phone rings] Do me a favor. Grab that, would you?

    Alex: Hello?

Luke: [Matthew on the phone] Hello?

    Alex: Who's this?

    Luke: Who's this?

Luke: This is Matthew. Who is this?

[Alex sits up in shock and immediately hands the phone over to Luke]

    Luke: Hello?

Luke: Hey, what's up, kid? I thought you left.

    Matthew: No, uhh...

Luke: What are you still doing here?

Matthew: I'm over at the girl's apartment.

[Alex listens from the next room over]

Luke: You went back to the crazy girl's apartment? What the hell are you doing there? I'm starting to worry about you, man.

Luke: I'm starting to worry myself. It's not just that. I couldn't even get on the airplane.

    [Alex leaves Luke's apartment]

Matthew: The thing is... There's something about this apartment. It's like Lisa's been here. I know this sounds insane, but I think this is her place, man.

[Alex tries to call Matthew and gets a busy signal, and Lisa tries to call Luke and gets a busy signal]

Luke: Well, maybe you're just hot for this crazy girl. First thing you gotta do is get out of her apartment and get over here. I'll tell you about some stuff, too. I've had the most amazing night of my entire life last night.

Matthew: Okay, I'll be over. Just give me a couple of minutes, okay?

Luke: All right. I'll wait. Later.

  • [Lisa calls Luke's phone number that Matthew left with the bartender for her]

    Luke: Hello?

Lisa: Hi, ummm... may I speak to Matthew, please?

    Luke: Who is this?

Lisa: Um, this is Lisa? I'm a friend of his. I'm calling about my compact. I think he might have found it.

Luke: Uh, which Lisa is this?

    Lisa: Pardon me?

Luke: [Luke grabs his head at how dumb of a question that sounded] Uh, I'll tell you what. He's actually supposed to be here in a couple of minutes.

Matthew: [At the same time, the camera goes to Alex calling Matthew so that he doesn't leave to go to Luke's home] Hello?

    Alex: Hello!

    Matthew: Hi.

Alex: Hi. I'm sorry I didn't come back. My, um... Double shift turned into a triple, and I just couldn't get away.

Matthew: It's okay. Don't worry about it.

    Alex: Are you mad?

Matthew: No. Not at all. I had a great time. Where are you?

Alex: Well, I'm still at work but, um, I'm just leaving now, so why don't you wait?

    Matthew: Yeah, I'll wait.

Alex: Okay, great. I'll see you soon.

[Matthew hangs up knowing something is strangely wrong]

Luke: [the camera goes back to Luke and Lisa on the phone] Let me, uh... Let me grab your phone number, and I will have him call you when he gets in.

Lisa: Um, you know, actually, could you just tell him to meet me at 3:00? He'd know where. Um, I'll be waiting for him.

    Luke: 3:00. Okay.

[someone knocks at Luke's front door]

Luke: You know what, it can't be him already, but I'm expecting him. And someone's at my front door, so maybe it is him. So hold on one second.

[Lisa has a flashback of the last time she saw Matthew and when he asked her to move in with him]

Luke: Yeah, I'm sorry. It wasn't him, it was someone else. But I promise I will give him your message. Okay?

    Lisa: Oh. Okay. Thank you.

[Lisa hangs up praying with tears in her eyes that she hasn't lost Matthew entirely]
