Marlo is a housewife with three children. The eldest daughter is relatively worry-free, the second son is always anxious, and the youngest daughter has just been born. The film does not involve financial issues, Marlo's husband Draw earns enough money to support the family. So, what would a life with three children be like with decent energy?

Widowed Parenting

Husbands such as Marlo: Work during the day, come home at night to help take care of the children with homework, and then play games. The little daughter never got up when she cried late at night, and the little boy's character problems were not involved. It's a cruel truth. Mom's life has been turned upside down and she's getting more and more disheartened. Dad just lost some game time.

When I chatted with my wife who just gave birth to a child yesterday, I concluded: In nature, most males do not take responsibility for raising offspring, while female animals have to take care of their children and go out hunting after giving birth. Are these genes? Written in the DNA of dads too?

Thinking of this, it suddenly dawned on me: If you decide to have a child, you should be prepared to fight alone.

on the verge of collapse

The pressure on children's education is far greater than the basic food and clothing. Marlo's son has anxiety. He must sit behind the main driver of the car. He must let his mother drive the car to a parking lot that is full of cars. His performance at school affects others. The child is being persuaded to leave, and hates people around him when he urinates in the public toilet... Just dealing with this one child takes all of Marlo's energy, and she has a swaddle in her arms that keeps her awake in the middle of the night. Marlo tried his best to take care of them, getting more and more tired and more and more unwilling to take care of life.

One night at dinner, the little boy accidentally knocked over the water glass, and the juice splashed all over Marlo. Marlo took off his T-shirt and was half-naked. His belly was full of fat and wrinkled. The son asked, "What's wrong with your body?"

Hi, im Tully

As early as before Marlo's third child was born, her cousin said she would hire a night sitter to ease the burden. But Marlo doesn't like strangers staying at home, and he doesn't like strangers being close to his children, so he hasn't contacted the nanny.

It's getting worse and worse, and here comes Tully. She's a flat-bellied young girl full of energy, bold and passionate, and she's in several relationships at the same time, and she knows how to take care of children and mothers. According to Tully, I'm mainly here to take care of my mother. Her presence made Marlo, who was almost collapsed, relieved a lot, and she told her husband: I haven't slept well like this in a long time. As the time with Tully got longer and longer, Marlo found that this girl was too close to him, the same wine she liked to drink, the same songs she liked to listen to, and the topics she talked about also hit the soul.

During this time, they talked a lot. The 30-year-old housewife told the 20-year-old girl about her age: "Soon, your 30 years will come."

big dream

Marlo is more and more inseparable from Tully, because of Tully, she begins to see the color of the world again. One night, Tully suggested going downtown for a drink, and Marlo thought it was crazy: Who's going to take care of the kids? Tully asked rhetorically: She has a dad, doesn't she? So they drove to Brooklyn, and on the way back, Marlo was so sleepy and in a trance that he fell into the river while crossing the bridge.

The truth is revealed here in the movie, there is no babysitter at all, Tully is 20-year-old Marlo, who Marlo imagined on the brink of collapse.

"Obviously I'm older, why are you wiser?", "Because I'm 26, I have time to think", "After three pregnancies, you'll forget all about it"

write to myself

Maybe it's my prejudice, the whole movie only receives the pain of parenting, and even after the husband gets involved in family affairs and things start to turn around, I still don't see any hope. In short, before you want a child, you must think clearly whether the kind of life after his birth is what you really want.
