big river love

A chronicle movie.
First of all, the picture, the picture of the movie is very beautiful, the audience can always feel the sun-movie characters-audience, and can see the very charming sunlight and the silhouette of the actors.
Norman has always been a person who has more connotation and does not easily express his appearance, but once he shows it, it is very intense, such as fighting. On the other hand, Paul is the opposite. A place like lulu is really like a line in the middle of the movie, and it will take his life. At the end of the movie, the brief plot took Paul's death, but left the audience with three unforgettable memories. The father and son went fishing together in the Big Blackfoot River. Their ending was actually not unexpected, the only difference was that I thought Norman would inherit his father's business and become a pastor, but the real ending was that he went to the university to become a literature professor.

The rushing river is like the passage of time, and the changes outside are also hidden after the fly fishing again and again. Only memories, nostalgia and unchanging family love are sung into an epic on the plains of Montana. Focus, dance, swing, accompanied by the light of the sky and the river, and you will understand why some people are reluctant to leave for a lifetime. The handling of the ending is fantastic, we don't know them, but we can at least love them.

Those who are closest to us are usually the least we can fathom but we can still love him we can love with all our heart the one we don't know but when I'm alone in the shadows of the valley the surroundings fully melt into my heart and memories and finally all The things merged into one big flowing river The great floods of ancient times created the rivers and the rivers washed the ancient rocks Some of the stones have ageless rain There are words under the stones Some of the words are theirs

A River Runs Through It quotes

  • [last lines]

Older Norman: [narrating] Like many fly fishermen in western Montana where the summer days are almost Arctic in length, I often do not start fishing until the cool of the evening. Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise. Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of those rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters.

  • Older Norman: [narrating] My father looked at me for a long time, just looked at me and this was the last he and I ever said to me about Paul's death. Indirectly though, he was present in many of our conversations. Once for instance, my father asked me a series of questions that suddenly make me wonder if I understood even my father, whom I felt closer to than any man I have ever known. "You like to tell true stories?" he asked and I answered, "Yes, I like to tell stories that are true." Then he asked, "After you have finished your true stories sometime, why don't you make up a story and the people to go with it? Only then will you understand what happened and why. It is those we live with and love and should know who elude us."
