The wandering of young people in reality and fantasy, and their youth full of hunger and despair.
There are two kinds of people in the world depicted in the movie, one is physical hunger and the other is spiritual hunger. Physical hunger represents a basic need, and spiritual hunger represents a higher need.
Money determines whether a person lives with physical hunger or spiritual hunger. For those who do not recognize this cruel reality, they are probably left with only the short-lived illusion that has been reflected. In that hallucination, we can temporarily forget everything that existed in reality, the debts we carry, the well that once fell, and the fact that we don’t have oranges... But once we wake up, those who can’t get it but yearn for it. Things came up again.
Haimei is physically hungry, she is so poor that she has no money, she has unpaid credit card debts, the small house she lives in has only a very short beam of sunlight reflecting on the glass of Nanshan Tower every day, but she But after plastic surgery, she used various spiritual "drugs" to numb herself, and traveled to Africa to visit little hunger and great hunger. She pretended to be sublimated to a spiritual hunger.
Zhongxiu University majored in literary creation. After graduation, he could not find a job and had to do cargo transportation first. He always wanted to write novels, but he never knew what to write. Zhongxiu's hunger and thirst are reflected in him and Haemi. It can be seen that he should have less experience than girls, and he can also see his physical and spiritual attachment to Haemi in the future. When he was temporarily in a beautiful body, he saw that beam of sunlight reflected from the glass of Nanshan Tower on the wall of Haimei's house, and then the beam of sunlight disappeared.
When he drove a pickup truck to the airport to greet Hai Mei, who had returned from Africa, but when he saw her being picked up by Ben's luxury car, he began to have all kinds of puzzles about life, why Ben is only six or seven years older than us I can live in such a nice house, drive such a nice car, and don’t have to work every day. Hai Mei replied to him that maybe his family was already so rich. Jong-soo asks her to think about why Ben, who has no flaws, likes her, Hae-mi says, and Ben says she's interesting. When he told Ben that he loved Hae-mi, but only got Ben's hehe, as if everything he was after was nothing with Ben.
This Ben is probably a spirit-hungry man. He has no worries about food and clothing, is tolerant and kind, a typical well-educated rich man living in Banpu, and everything is normal to him. But he is extremely lacking in spirit, and needs to "burn a plastic film greenhouse" every two months to get it. He said that if you burn down the greenhouse, you won't be caught. The police don't care about it at all. Anyway, there are too many greenhouses and they are useless. Because of what Ben said, Zhong Xiu kept checking whether the greenhouses around the house were in good condition for many days in a row.
Maybe these useless greenhouses are all about the girls, maybe not. If so, is it really Ben who killed these girls, or is it this cruel society that looks at face and money?
There are a lot of complaints in the movie, such as being a girl, whether it is formal or not, whether you wear revealing clothes, whether you wear makeup or not, there will be people pointing and pointing. Later in the party, I complained about why I always lived in the world of others, and never considered myself as the center.
So what is it that makes our youth so hungry?
At the end of the movie, Jong Soo kills Ben and sets it on fire with the luxury car. He also burned all his clothes and drove away from the murder scene naked in the heavy snow. If Hae Mi, who takes off her clothes and dances without any scruples in the sunset, is a kind of performance art in hallucinations, is Zhong Xiu's nakedness just to destroy the evidence? If we say that novels are the sublimation of life, then seeing reality clearly is the premise of sublimation. Zhong Xiu fantasized about Haimei in Haimei's room and started his writing. Does this mean an explosion after realizing the reality? ? Take the doubt and anger accumulated before in an extreme way.
There are too many ambiguities in the movie, and many plots are just discussions and speculations.
I originally wanted to say it was a literary film. After all, many of the shooting techniques were too artistic, but most of the literary and artistic films gave people fantasy in various aspects, and the strong sense of real life restoration and substitution in this film made me really can’t. Look at it as a literary film, there has been no such unpretentious non-aphrodisiac film for too long.
