I didn't expect that one day I would be able to watch "The Secret Life of My Pet" with so much emotion.
Our lovely hero Max welcomes the treasure in his life - the owner's baby. Since then, he has been worrying about gains and losses, restless, for fear that the baby will encounter a little bit of damage in the process of growing up, and even begin to behave disorderly symptoms. Later, the family went on vacation to the farm in the countryside, where he met the leader of the farm, a German shepherd named Rooster. Unlike Max, who has been pampered since childhood, the rooster is calm and introverted. He has experienced many battles. During the day, he can manage the animals on the farm in an orderly manner, and at night, he can drive the malicious foxes away. The rooster does not despise Max who is surprised when he encounters things. Although he doesn't talk much, he always tells Max the most important truth in a few simple sentences: difficulties are the status quo of the world, be brave face it.
Once Max accidentally released the lamb in the sheepfold, the rooster asked him to go to the mountain with him to find the lamb. When found, the lamb was already trapped on the cliff. Later, Max rescued the lamb himself at the request of the rooster (although it seems a bit cliché here, but I still looked nervous and almost sweated), and began to have confidence in his own abilities.
Up to this point the story has been told in three separate lines. This is also where I admire the writing skills of the screenwriter very much. The three lines in the early stage seem to have no intersection, but they start to intertwine in the later stage, and they naturally develop together without being abrupt. And this kind of narrative is very suitable for the many features of the cute gods in "The Pet", and it is not easy to sort out the structure when they get together from the beginning. By the time Max said goodbye to the farm, the movie had already explained:
1. Max Line: An interaction with the rooster on the farm hones his will and courage, preparing him for heroic action in the conflict that follows
2. Snowball Line: Together with Daisy, they rescued the white tiger in the circus, but unfortunately they lead to tracking and revenge, leading the story to conflict and bringing the fusion of the three lines
3. Gigit line: for the love of rescuing the little bee toy, I went deep into the cat house of the cat-loving grandma, which brought the possibility of conflict resolution
The protagonists in each line have wonderful performances, and all kinds of audiences who have a special liking for different loves and pets have taken care of them. This is not an easy task. In short, after a battle of wits and courage, the villain was finally defeated, and the pets returned to the modern life in New York. The docile White Tiger also found a home at the cat slave's grandma's house (although it's a bit Ummm). A happy ending. But the writers clearly didn't want to stop there. At the beginning of the story, Max was too protective of the baby and had a knot in his heart, so Max should also untie the tinkling bell. So in the end Max contributed one of my favorite lines in the movie:
Run away from it, or run at it.
The screenwriter tells us every moviegoer through this puppy: be brave.
