I just started watching the movie and almost wanted to delete it. The harsh and lengthy trumpet ensemble at the beginning of the film, to the crazy eyes of the protagonist's son, and the extreme and dull mind of Jangzi, made me feel a lot of disgust. However, the more I look back, the more I understand the director's deep meaning, and then I turn to the beginning and look at the middle part, the trumpet is no longer harsh, and the crazy eyes no longer disgust me. At the end I just admired that horn. A fluent statement at the end that stutters the finishing touch.
We may not know the Eastern European leaders featured in the film, we will wonder what happened in that era, we will wonder if the director is satirizing the communist regime. But I'm sure this movie is full of love for Yugoslavia.
