Today during the winter solstice, I watched a sports movie "Light Ride on Ice", which was adapted from real events. It was about Jamaica, a tropical island country, where a group of great guys went to participate in a four-person sled race in the Winter Olympics.
The core of the movie is actually about ideals. Who can stop a group of energetic young people from challenging themselves? Four people who have never seen snow, got a tattered pulley and practiced skiing on a mountain trail? Is this ridiculous? Yes, under the training of a drunkard Yankee, they practiced repeatedly on the sandy ground like fools until they went to the Canadian Winter Olympics.
Like in another sports movie, "The World's Fastest Indian Motorcycle", Anthony Hopkins said that being a man is not ideal. What is the difference with a plant? The Jamaicans went. Although they didn't get the ranking, they saw another world and gained the respect of everyone. What a wonderful thing!
After eating dumplings, drinking tea, and seeing such an interesting movie on the night of the winter solstice, it’s time to sleep well... I think all people want to surpass themselves at a certain moment and become their own Heroes, like these Jamaicans walking on the ice...
