In EVA, the first problem is simplified as a myth, borrowing the legend of Judaism (here is my own understanding, if there is something wrong, please criticize and correct). As the eighteenth apostle, human beings, different from the first seventeen apostles, chose the latter among the fruit of life and the fruit of wisdom. It is true that human beings possess supreme wisdom and can resist the attacks of the first fifteen apostles (I should have counted correctly?) "single-handedly", but they can only carry on their own inheritance through the cycle of death and rebirth. Therefore, after humans return to Lilith, they merge the fruit of life and the fruit of wisdom, and greedily have the most perfect life can imagine.
The second question is the focus of EVA, and even in the 25th and 26th episodes of the animated version, the core and process of the "Human Completion Plan" is expressed in the form of an extremely stream of consciousness. In the world of EVA, the incoming apostles are powerful because they possess an absolute force field (AT force field). For the absolute force field, EVA describes it as "a wall separating itself from other self and the objective world", also known as the barrier of the heart. This is one of the contradictions in the EVA world. People suffer from loneliness and loneliness, but they become extremely powerful. For an AT force field, only an equally strong AT force field can be neutralized. This is the starting point of the human completion plan, using Adam, Lilith, etc. to cause the third impact, using the impacted AT force field to break the barriers of all human hearts, the human body is destroyed, the soul is integrated into Lilith, in the absence of self obtained in the world. . . I don't think it's easy to use such a mundane word as calm to describe what the world looks like, but it's probably a state where there is no loneliness, loneliness, and other pain.
One of the reasons that watching EVA moved me so much is that I thought about this question, a question that made me think for a long time.
Let me talk about the second one. Thoreau once painted a beautiful scene of independent life in Walden Pond, which is envied by everyone. Sadly, as far as I am concerned, I already know that the food, books, movies, games I love are all provided by others, so I can't live Thoreau's life. So from Zhuangzi's words, I found a little solution: Da Ren has no love. It means that if you are too addicted to one thing, you will involuntarily hate the opposite side. So even if I love food, books, movies, games, I will try to avoid the word "favorite", so that even if I can't do without these, at least I don't focus my needs on one point. According to Maslow's theory of needs, I can comfortably tell myself that I only have a strong dependence on socialization for superficial needs. So returning to the discussion in EVA, how to deal with the fetters between people?
This is a question that has troubled me for a long time, because the relationship between people looks similar, but the relationship I have established with any one person cannot be replaced by any other relationship. That's when I started reading Buddhist scriptures and began to accept some of the ideas of "emptiness" and "no-self". The meaning of the Buddha, according to my current superficial understanding, is that since the cycle of the world is divided into joys and sorrows, after all, it is a separation of sorrows, so the only way to escape from the sea of suffering is to jump out of this cycle. However, it seems that the enlightened people who have jumped out of this cycle cannot tell the people who are still suffering in the other world what the scenery is like, and the people who are still in the cycle can not comprehend the scenery of other places. It's like an anthropic theory. It is true that when the relationship between people becomes a gentleman's friendship, the elements of hurting and parting are much less, but it seems that trust is also starting to gradually disappear. Just like in EVA, people who are strong enough in the absolute field seem to be lacking in mind.
Looking at the first one, if you think about this problem without the religious background of EVA, then the restrictions will be much less. From a biological point of view, the development of human functions, such as the increase in lifespan, has reached a critical point. As for other things, I once joked that women like my mother who can climb mountains in high heels are the successful evolution of modern times, and I am the product of retrogressive failure. What I want to express is that there may be other functional evolutions in human body functions, but this evolution is relative, it is an adaptation to the environment, and there is no fixed direction. But the spiritual potential of man, I believe, is limitless. I started to read Nietzsche a year ago. When it comes to Nietzsche, I have to mention that the Chinese people really don’t know enough about him and there are too many misunderstandings. If you want to read it simply, I recommend a book written by Zhou Guoping: Nietzsche, at the turning point of the century, this is also my book. 's primer. After reading it at the time, I wrote this book review: "God is dead, announcing that the superhuman self is not arrogant, but the proudest struggle in the world to walk alone - to break the shackles of all previous thoughts, Build a self without relying on anything." Afterwards, he posted a paragraph on Weibo that looked very mysterious, but it did indeed express his feelings: "When I read Lao Zhuang, I felt like a fairy, but I was still confused. Later, I read the Buddhist scriptures, and it seemed that there was something wrong. Enlightenment caused more confusion, and it was not until I began to read Nietzsche that I felt reborn, and life has meaning since then.” What I think Nietzsche is more attractive to me than other religious content is that he regards the transformation that human beings pursue as a process of quantitative change, instead of preaching how to get rid of the suffering of reincarnation and how a world we don’t know is so beautiful. As a human being, all we can do is better, better, better. His words have always encouraged me to "never fake someone else's hand if I can do it myself". This kind of high affirmation and positive admiration for life is really a great comfort and motivation for people like me who often have the feeling of walking alone in the world.
Postscript: I haven't written anything for a long time. I feel that when I write the article, I have found some clues in my understanding of many clues in EVA. Sure enough, the more my pen and my brain move, the more diligent it is. With these understandings, it seems that you can watch the theatrical version again and think about the things that you didn't understand before.
