Nowadays, the Chinese translation of foreign films is becoming more and more careless. Either it is a four-character title with a sour and fake vinegar, or it is a literal translation of a dictionary that doesn't make sense. Is it that difficult to come up with a name that fits the story? The film's rating is at least 0.5 points lower because of the title.
The overall storyline is the black version of Keanu Reeves' "King of the Street" more than ten years ago, but it still feels a little less interesting. Although the pace of the plot is not slow, the story is a bit thin.
Plus, it's a bit of a fuss to lock down the entire Manhattan for two gunmen. Almost everyone in the United States has a gun, and there are many retired soldiers with rich practical experience in the private sector. It is not particularly difficult to really want to do something. Unless there is a large-scale terrorist attack that requires the use of the military to solve, generally the most small SWAT is solved. In the past, the blockade of Manhattan was either encountered by alien monsters invading, or was forced by the careful planning of super terrorists. Blocking at the slightest thing is both incompetent and a bit of a traditional persecution paranoia.
It is always doubtful whether the purpose of this film is to help boost the approval rating of Republican Trump. The chaos caused by the BLM movement has indeed affected the approval ratings of the Republican Party and Trump, and the film simply said that "black police are also black" and "black police lives are also lives" to dilute people's sympathy and fanatical support for BLM.
In addition, the income of the New York police is not low, so they don’t have to rely on their heads on their belts to sell drugs to supplement their families. In this film, the police collectively cry poor, which is likely to increase the federal police budget for Trump's next term (if he can be re-elected), and conduct public opinion guidance. I heard that the National Police Union has officially expressed its support for Republican Trump.
