When I watched the trailer in the theater, I thought it was a superficial funny bad movie, but I didn't expect it to exceed expectations. The script was written so realistically that every now and then we would say to each other while watching the film, eh, you seem to have said something like that, and we seem to have had this problem. Indeed, it is difficult for those who have never experienced a long distance to have a deep understanding of the hardships, suffering and choices. Many gave up, and a few persevered. When these torments and hardships are over and looking back, you will find that two people have actually put in a lot of effort and made a lot of sacrifices to come together. It is really not easy, so cherish it.
Highlights of the play: 1. The male lead's roommate, Dan, is absolutely talented. It's really fun to live with him (the episode of Chaplin or Hitler made me laugh out loud). 2. The daughter of the heroine's sister, although she does not have many roles, is a very interesting child. 3. The climate of San Francisco is really good, much stronger than that of the Northeast, which makes people live there.
Finally, thank the screenwriter for giving an open happy ending after the ups and downs. I like the song of TBR in the play, the melody and lyrics are good, it really fits the situation.
