Actually very realistic.

Is the movie popular? I did not think.

How many middle school students are facing these same problems?

How many complicated feelings are mixed in the life of family, school, and two points and one line. How to deal with the relationship between parents, teachers, classmates, friends, lovers, and these people?

Pretentious, cynical, has no friends, his parents are divorced, he has never finished his homework in three years of high school and can't graduate, has no girlfriend, and is still a virgin... Gradually he has become a sensitive and inferior person.

Not sure what I want, being told by others and hurriedly covering it up. I just feel that I am not worthy of her, I just feel that he should be more active.

For Sally, the premise of testing each other is determination, not flirting.

The movie tells us that when we meet each other, we are not necessarily the best, but we can be better for each other.

I don't know. It's not perfunctory. There are too many variables in the future, and it will not be transferred by our will. So, live in the moment. This is George's perception.

Thank you for having such a film, I can not have a strong sense of business, I can not particularly pursue the greatness of human nature, and I can care about the feelings of immature people.

The Art of Getting By quotes

  • George Zinavoy: There you go again with the mind games. Treacherous, sadistic little hussy !

  • Sally Howe: You know we're gonna be together one day. We have to sort through all of our messed-up issues and... you have to sleep with a lot of girls to get it out of your system.

    George Zinavoy: Don't go. Please.

Sally Howe: It's a long life. We're not done.

George Zinavoy: [teasingly] Treacherous, sadistic little hussy !

Sally Howe: I love you too.
