The stories of the night are always so peaceful and heart-wrenching...

From the tear-jerking "Late Night Cafeteria" to the series of articles about the late night convenience store that exploded the circle of friends. Our curiosity and exploration of the night has never stopped, and the mysterious release of Buddha does not exist during this time. It was late at night, and the neon was dimmed. Finally, the disguise was removed, and there was no need to bear the pressure from the outside world. People always have richer emotions in the middle of the night and return to human nature. In fact, many nights we are not insomnia, but sleep is the biggest waste.

The movie "Earth Night" consists of five short stories that take place at the same time and in different countries and regions. And each story is a brief encounter between a taxi driver and a passenger. On this night, the story between strangers is plain and true. The story of the night is always so calm:

Los Angeles, Hollywood's impetuous and nihilistic dream of stardom falls on Corgi, a taxi driver who has nothing, only to be defeated by the dream of becoming a "mechanic". This night we also had a lot of big dreams, but the most important and most important self-awareness, everyone dreams of becoming a star, but it may not be suitable for me.

New York, a sleepless night on the bustling streets, a black passenger who was refused a ride, a foreign elderly taxi driver who can't drive and speak a different language. In this city, we are all homeless people, understand and help each other, and life is still beautiful.

In Paris, a black driver who was insulted and kicked a passenger out of the car met a beautiful blind female passenger. From the beginning of trying to regain the dignity after being insulted by making fun of the blind man, to curiosity and compassion, and then to discover that the blind woman can discern the direction of the world better than herself. We always look for various interfaces for our embarrassing situation, but ignore the beauty we have. Even if there is nothing, you can live beautifully (Beatrix Dale is really cool).

Roma, the chatty and humorous driver, talks to himself with Newton Einstein of the Hotel Genius. The ridicule of priests, on the one hand, is a disgust for the preaching of human words through oracles; on the other hand, it is the collision of science and religion. The driver's confession and the priest's death seem to be exploring the true meaning of faith. And the answer is in everyone's heart...

Helsinki, the three people who were drunk because they were fired, are called brothers, but they have their own ideas; they feel the sorrows of life and are moved by the experience of taxi drivers, but they turn to discuss other things. People are drunk and their hearts are numb. People over forty, greasy middle-aged people, how are you?

The story of the night is plain and true, and the plain things happen in every corner, and the truth hurts people's hearts.

The five seemingly independent stories in the film are interconnected and progressive, with time and space from night to dawn, and characters from youth to middle age. The first story is a rogue tomboy Corgi, who dreams of becoming a mechanic and has two mechanic brothers; the second story, there is a black passenger and his sister-in-law; the third story, the unhappy life of a black driver; In the fourth paragraph, the broken-mouth driver repents of his incestuous relationship with his sister-in-law; in the fifth paragraph, the passenger said that he wanted to have a daughter, so as not to have a son like himself... But having a daughter seems to return to the story of the first paragraph. The fifth story happened at dawn, and the tomboy Corgi gave up his dream of being a star and chose the dream of a mechanic steadfastly. Is it a kind of hope?

The night is always so mysterious. Do you also have such a night when you don't want to do anything, just feel your own existence quietly, listen to the voice of thinking and inner communication, and own the whole world. In such a night, everything is a waste of time, you must do nothing, or you will just stay up late!

#CC# The rhythm is a very soothing late-night TAXI story, the language — the classification of the video is similar to Abbas' "The Taste of Cherry", of course, in addition to the theme of life and death, the multi-camera visual interaction It also presents the whole-part dialogues wisely or recklessly. Everyone is constantly modifying the borderline of their own psychology. Some emotions that are quite restrained by [individual] are broken down, blocked by [others], and then dissipated. Let all sorrows end before the sun rises. Changes in driver behavior have also been observed in street systems in different cities, such as the wide lanes of Los Angeles; the three-way intersection in New York; the many winding streets of Paris; paths with a narrow radius of stone walls in Rome; and buildings along streets in Helsinki dispersion. From the perspective of the city [capillaries], these five stories are quite warm.

Night on Earth quotes

  • Victoria Snelling: Driving at night doesn't seem to bother you.

    Corky: Why should it?

Victoria Snelling: For me it's a big problem. I have night blindness.

Corky: Is that something that happens when you get old?

Victoria Snelling: No. No, actually it isn't. It has nothing to do with age. I've had it all my life.

  • Corky: I don't always want to be a cab driver.

Victoria Snelling: What do you really want to be.

    Corky: A mechanic.

    Victoria Snelling: A mechanic?

Corky: I practically know all there is to know about it. Both my brothers are mechanics. They're older than me; but, you know, cause I'm like a girl and I'm like still kinda young and all, I gotta kinda like work up to it, you know.
