A very important topic in the film directed by Feng Joon-ho is: the evil of human nature has nothing to do with the strong group or the weak group.
In the usual context, the word "vulnerable group" naturally carries a kind of "justice", and it seems that they are always victims in social relations. In a sense, they instead occupy the moral high ground, which makes us consciously or unknowingly ignore their complex and dark side as "people". The poor may be more ruthless than the rich in order to seize wealth (Parasite). The weak face the strong and swallow their anger, and turn around and possibly kill the weaker than themselves ("Mother").
The mother gave her all for Daojun, but the memory of "feeding pesticides" gave birth to Daojun's hatred for his mother. Not only did he not obey his mother, but he also took revenge on his mother in a secret way. The girl inadvertently said "idiot", and Dao Jun directly killed the girl. Daojun's mother feeds her son with pesticides, fearing that his son will regain his memory, give him a needle with Chinese medicine, and kill the homeless person in order to help his son cover up the murder...
Even practical reasons cannot conceal the sinful nature of these acts. In the two murder cases, the victims were a single homeless man and a girl with a miserable life. Dao Jun and his mother, who originally belonged to the "vulnerable group", turned into powerful perpetrators.
In fact, whether it is strong or weak, the determination of identity is not the ultimate goal. The important thing is that people should face the deepest evil of their human nature, and spare no effort to fight against it. This is the fundamental reason why people are human.
