Literary version of infectious diseases

When I watched it, I actually felt the same as the tone of the movie Contagion. It focused on love and told the pursuit of the first love of people who gradually lost their five senses. Even if the sense of smell, taste and hearing disappear, even if the vision finally disappears, and the whole world enters eternal darkness, two people who love each other still have touch, and it is still a perfect feeling to love and embrace each other. An allegorical global disease, the degeneration of human's own sensory functions, a doomsday love filled with psychological horror. Such beautiful two people, such a beautiful true love, the end of the world doesn't matter.
In recent years, the narrative styles have become more and more similar. Starting from the Tree of Life, similar films have emerged one after another. Outside the main line, a third-perspective legend is used to narrate the facts, which is used as a transition between various stages.

But can you still experience love when you lose your senses? What is love anyway? Is there really pure love that is not attached to any medium and egoistic value?

It's not literature or art but the plague. "Even if tomorrow is the end of the world, I will still plant my little apple tree." When you can’t say that you can’t listen, smell, and taste, the chefs still cook seriously; the last sentence before becoming deaf, hope to hear "I love you", and the last thing before becoming blind is to find you. (The performance of the plague is a bit old-fashioned and slightly rough. Like "Time Planning Bureau", the superb structure and settings have not been brought to the fullest, and the director has insufficient power.)

Perfect Sense quotes

  • James: Well, shall we call it a night?

Michael: I don't know what the fuck we should call it.

  • Michael: Now, you can invite me back to your place.

Susan: Don't know if I will.

Susan: Well, you-you can just start walking home... and I'll follow you.

[Susan smiles and starts walking. Michael smiles and follows. Susan stops, looks back, sees Michael following and laughs. Michael also laughs]
