twelve

The film was a bit scary at the beginning, because it was the new version that I watched first, so I knew the general development of the plot and watched it. I have to say that the plot of this version is explained more reasonably. The dialogue between Poirot and the twelve people on the train finds a balance between seemingly unconnected things, his brain is running at high speed throughout, and finally gives us an irrefutable reasoning. Of course, it's not just the detectives who stand out. The performance of the twelve righteous jurors on the train is also remarkable. They pretend to be strangers who meet for the first time, and make alibi to each other. It's true or false. Answering Poirot's question, when the former identities were revealed one by one, the plot reached a climax. They deliberately planned the murder and tried Cassati's crimes in multiple identities.

The murderer who kidnapped Daisy is unforgivable, but he took advantage of the law to get away with a huge sum of money. This is the greatest harm to all the victims who are still alive. How can they tolerate the murderer's unrepentance, and how can it be regarded as nothing? . The fair trial begins.

Before Poirot got into the car, he thought there were only two answers in the world, black and white. In the end, he broke his own understanding and acquiesced to this extrajudicial law enforcement trial. When he said that everyone could get off the bus safely, everyone in the carriage seemed to be reborn. They salute the dead with a glass of champagne, the triumph of action, the new life after their vengeance - what better vengeance than killing an enemy with your own hands?

The 17-year version is different from the old version, and the 17-year version also has its own highlights, but in comparison, the old version's portrayal of people is still more prominent ~ the texture of the old movie is quite different!

The old version is still more classic, pay tribute to the classic, pay tribute to grandma✨

It is a rare work that I have read the original but still allows me to enjoy the movie with peace of mind; it fully displays the oriental sentiment in the original (it's time to read Oriental Studies~). But for me, who can get 12 people to avenge after death (there are two divided by five), I really feel that I have no regrets in death. And, it's a pity that I didn't see the dubbed version of the above translation.

I didn't recognize Bergman, nor did I recognize Finney~ It turns out that Finney has such a background~~ This series should be very beautiful~

Murder on the Orient Express quotes

  • Hercule Poirot: The obvious implication is that the murderer, disguised as a conductor, boarded the train at Belgrade, made his way by means of the convenient passkey to Ratchett's compartment, stabbed him to death, planted the dagger and the uniform, and then departed, since the train was now halted in a snowdrift. Who was he? I am inclined to agree with Mr Foscarelli, who believes that he was a rival member of the Mafia, exacting private vengeance for a vendetta whose precise nature the Yugoslav police will undoubtedly identify.

Dr. Constantine: But... is that all?

Hercule Poirot: No. No, no, no, no. No, it is not. I said, here is the simple answer. There is also a more... complex one. But remember my first solution when I... when you've heard my second.

  • Greta Ohlsson: I was born backwards. That is why I work in Africa as missionary, teaching little brown babies more backwards than myself.
