trial

As a classic of detective novels, I only enjoy the process of reasoning, and other things about morality and law are not what I care about reading this type of novel.

The novel is very exciting, and this version of the film is basically based on the novel and reproduces this carefully planned murder. The movie doesn't change much from the novel, but the small changes make Poirot more human and the murder more traceable.

In the original novel, Poirot used the hairnet to discover the true identity of the deceased Ratchett on the second day of the incident, and there was no actual evidence that the handle in Mrs. Hubbard's room was on the latch. Poirot's sensitive detective nerves were responsible for the whole case. .

And a few minor changes to the film make Poirot less of a dick:

First, the peachy news of Colonel Abbasnot

Fiction: When Poirot asked Colonel Abbasnot, he focused on his opinion of Miss Debeyham, the colonel began to say very excitedly: "It's a lady!" and finally added: "She is innocent, she A true gentleman."

Movie: When Miss Debenham was questioned, the colonel was very irritable outside, and then rushed directly into the dining car to save the beauty, and confessed to Poirot that he was married, and that he was afraid of being caught during the divorce. Denies knowing Debehan's peach affair.

Second, except for Mrs. Hubbard, Mrs. Armstrong's mother, Linda Arden, who was an actress, the other twelve were not actors, and they lost control on the spot when someone was questioned, and the Italians were seeing pictures of their girlfriends. It collapsed on the spot, and the Duchess was powerless in the face of Poirot's tight-knit questioning.

All his composure was wiped to ashes the moment the wound was opened. Poirot completed the puzzle after questioning everyone, and solved the shocking case.

The highlight of the film is that when twelve people murdered sinners, they were full of religious colors. Everyone lined up to hold the blade of judgment, and before stabbing the knife, they would say, "For me "Dear daughter and granddaughter" "for my sister and niece"... Tried the crime and carried out the death penalty with his own repentance.

It turns out that Agatha wrote this book to cover the Lin Bai kidnapping case. When the last 12 people stabbed the killer like a ritual of 12 jurors, I really saw my tears burst. I hate and kill because of love. The first half has a slightly longer rhythm, but it actually corresponds to the novel. Although I knew the ending, I was still very worried. The elderly Ingrid covered up the goddess' temperament so deeply. When I first saw it, I didn't recognize that the old lady who kept her mouth shut was her. The Oscars deserves her name.

Murder on the Orient Express quotes

  • Hercule Poirot: The obvious implication is that the murderer, disguised as a conductor, boarded the train at Belgrade, made his way by means of the convenient passkey to Ratchett's compartment, stabbed him to death, planted the dagger and the uniform, and then departed, since the train was now halted in a snowdrift. Who was he? I am inclined to agree with Mr Foscarelli, who believes that he was a rival member of the Mafia, exacting private vengeance for a vendetta whose precise nature the Yugoslav police will undoubtedly identify.

Dr. Constantine: But... is that all?

Hercule Poirot: No. No, no, no, no. No, it is not. I said, here is the simple answer. There is also a more... complex one. But remember my first solution when I... when you've heard my second.

  • Greta Ohlsson: I was born backwards. That is why I work in Africa as missionary, teaching little brown babies more backwards than myself.
