Alternative angle

First of all, this is my first time writing a film review, so don't blame me for not writing well, my English is really bad. I was watching the Chinese name "Spiritual Detective". I haven't started reading the previous speculations, thinking that the protagonist can evoke the soul of the dead. Then I realized that I was really too young.
Well, let's get back to the topic, let's go back to the movie, the literal translation of the movie's British name "solace" is comfort, consolation. In fact, if you follow this translation, it will indeed be more in line with the expression content of the entire movie. At the beginning of the movie, we see a rather bizarre murder scene, and then there are no fingerprints, no shoe prints, no eyewitnesses. Once again, I was mistaken for a ghost killing, and finally the policeman who always likes to appear last in Hong Kong movies showed me the turning point of this drama, John, a white old man, the soul of this drama. He can see the past and future of some people and some things by touching some objects. Well, the whole play officially started and then the director started digging holes with half of the whole play. Through the passage of time, the murderer's motives began to emerge. All the dead were suffering from serious and incurable diseases.
I don't want to spoil the plot in the middle. I'll just write the outline of the story. Today, I mainly want to talk about some parts of this drama that you may not have seen. Maybe I'm used to watching the movie from some special angles. When I saw John shoot the murderer, I already had a guess in my mind that John's daughter should have been sent away by him himself.
In fact, after the movie ended, a lot of people were talking about euthanasia, and I was still concerned about how John would go. When the murderer said to John, we were the same kind, and at the end, when I saw John kill his own daughter with his own hands, it really made me think they were the same kind. I remember a scene where there was a scar on the left forehead in the description of the killer, and in the last scene, you find that John also has a scar on the left forehead. In fact, this may be a reincarnation, or it may be a new beginning and a redemption. At first, John killed his daughter in order to relieve her pain. In the end, he killed the murderer in order to save a woman who was very similar to his daughter. One was killed for the sake of killing, and the other was killed for the sake of redemption, as if it were a reincarnation. In the end, until the end of the movie, John's final choice was not explained. We can't think that John has become a new murderer because John has this scar on his forehead. Similarly, we can't know whether John really saved this woman in the end. life for redemption.
There is a line in the whole movie that I like very much, at that point, even the pain of life itself may be quite beautiful. Very important, this sentence makes me give the whole movie a point. In fact, there are many accidents in our life, and people can never predict what will happen in the next second, so I like the sentence in Han Han's "The Future Will Not End" very much: "Every time you say goodbye, it is best to use force. Say one more sentence, it may be the last One sentence. One more look, it may be the last one."
Every parting should be cherished, and every goodbye should be said well. And what’s more important is that goodbye is actually the normal state of life. You can’t just take it lightly because of parting, and you can’t deprive it of its existence just because you say goodbye.

Agent Katherine Cowles: What's the word, Sawyer?

Agent Sawyer: Looks like a match.

Agent Katherine Cowles: [holds up three fingers to Merriwether]

Agent Sawyer: [on the phone] Yeah, it's Joe. We've got a series. Same M O, same signature, no DNA. Not one goddamn shred.

  • Agent Katherine Cowles: Dr. Clancy, before we go upstairs, with all due respect, I don't hold an ounce of confidence in the paranormal in general. I think it's a sham. I hope that's okay.

John Clancy: No problem at all. I feel the same about shrinks. After only one thing, your money. Give them your little finger, they'll take your whole hand.

Agent Katherine Cowles: Whoever said that has obviously never met a good one.

John Clancy: It was Sigmund Freud.
