A phone call is actually a good way to foreshadow. This call can be from the hospital. If the hospital makes continuous calls, it means there is a problem.

Joe's scene on the hospital bed was also too promiscuous. The tone of this film is grim, and it explores the philosophical question of death and redemption. How can a dying hero be so cowardly. The emotion of being afraid of death must not appear in this movie, at least not let the hero be afraid of death. Heroes bleed without tears!
