Think of the devil, think of the angel

A screen duel between two master actors, a battle of ideas, a story about kill and killed!
Can the past and future be known in an instant? Perhaps there really exists such a person with a strong sixth sense, and there is more than one, when they become opponents, everything is expected! I have to admit, this movie has a powerful contagion, and perhaps your perceptions have changed terribly unintentionally. I have to say that when I started the movie with Anthony Hopkins, and at the end of the movie, I already believed in Colin Farrell, and when I think about it all, nothing but amazement!
Murder, is it really beautiful? I never believed and never believed before, but when Colin Farrell said something to Anthony Hopkins at the dinner table, I believed it! When a person has an incurable disease, endures enormous physical and psychological pain, subjectively desires death but cannot do it, and externally drags down the people he loves. . . . . . I believe that such people must exist, no matter what, the existence of such people is nothing but creating pain and passing on pain! The two protagonists started a battle between you and me on this concept.
The footage of the movie, while showing the plot, and the touching movie music, actually made me feel the fluctuation of the filmmaker's thinking. Perhaps the filmmaker's expression was too strong, and I was extremely overplayed. In the first half of the movie, there are a lot of pictures that Anthony Hopkins saw, unconnected one-sided pictures. If you don't watch carefully, such pictures can only detract from the movie. If you watch carefully, they will be brought back again and again. Your curiosity, desire to explore. It can only be said that the master is the master, and the performance is impeccable!
Two people with the same ability, two people who have done the same thing, how close, may be because of the difference in concept, one is a murderer, the other is a police (foreign aid). By the end of the movie, I found that I had no hatred for the murderer, and no approval for the pursuer. Some turned out to be admiration for the former and pity for the latter.
I can't go on writing this review. This is a story movie, and the story is the soul of the movie. If you add spoilers to the review, you can write more carefully, but people who haven't seen the movie have seen this review. Must hate me!

  • [first lines]

Joe Merriwether: [sniffing the cigar] Cuban.

Agent Katherine Cowles: What's the word, Sawyer?

Agent Sawyer: Looks like a match.

Agent Katherine Cowles: [holds up three fingers to Merriwether]

Agent Sawyer: [on the phone] Yeah, it's Joe. We've got a series. Same M O, same signature, no DNA. Not one goddamn shred.

  • Agent Katherine Cowles: Dr. Clancy, before we go upstairs, with all due respect, I don't hold an ounce of confidence in the paranormal in general. I think it's a sham. I hope that's okay.

John Clancy: No problem at all. I feel the same about shrinks. After only one thing, your money. Give them your little finger, they'll take your whole hand.

Agent Katherine Cowles: Whoever said that has obviously never met a good one.

John Clancy: It was Sigmund Freud.
