The beginning of the movie is a scene where a superhero Comedian is killed in the shadows of the dark night and gentle music, depressed and graceful.
Can superheroes be killed?
Of course, Superman died too.
But fighting to death with the same powerful person is a really good ending. In the beginning of the movie, the scenes of the earlier superhero team "Minuteman" pass one by one. They wore silly uniforms and showed silly smiles in front of the camera. Then they were either found to be gay or dragged into a lunatic asylum, and one was shot because the cloak was caught in the door.
This is the superhero of this world. When the Cold War escalated and tens of thousands of nuclear bombs could destroy the earth in an instant, what role could a few neurotics in weird costumes play in the streets with their muscles and fists?
First of all, I would like to compliment the director for his arrangement. In less than three hours, he explained the complex background of the story clearly through photos, memories, and inadvertent telling. Even if you haven't read the original work, you can understand it after carefully reading the first part of the story. Superheroes are not needed in this world. They shed their cute combat uniforms and try to blend into the crazy world.
And they themselves are crazy.

So I always felt that afterwards, Nite Owl II and Silk Spectre II started playing heroes again, just because they couldn’t find a place to vent in the boring society and lonely emptiness. They put on beautiful uniforms and drove so cool. A little silly spaceship flies in the night sky just to find a little pleasure and passion. They all know they are crazy, but they don't care.
Dr. Manhattan appeared completely as an alien life form far more advanced than human beings. He was indifferent and indifferent on the surface, looking at the earth from the perspective of the world and the universe. What about the destruction of the earth? The universe will not notice.
Only Ozymandias, the smartest person in the world knows that he actually has a heart, so he cleverly took advantage of the weaknesses that the most powerful person hardly noticed himself, and completed the whole plan. He successfully broke away from the stupid image of boss in all mainstream good and evil stories, no longer talked nonsense before acting, giving justice messengers time to stop himself, but ruthlessly forced everyone into desperation.
Rorshach is my favorite character. His changing mask is filled with a person’s inner struggle and anger. He hates the darkness and ignorance of the world’s people to the bone, and he mercilessly lets the blood of the person who should be punished drain away. . Stubbornly stick to your own justice, will not compromise, will not weigh, unless you let yourself be destroyed.
"Never compromise, not even in the face of Armageddon." The first part of the
film has been deconstructing the entangled hearts and chaotic world of these superheroes, but all good and evil movies will have a plan to destroy the world and an invincible boss. Therefore, personal madness has risen to the madness of the world. As soon as a nuclear war is about to start, the world will be turned into ruins in three days. Ozymandias chose an amazing idea, created an illusion, and fabricated a common enemy for the world, so that they could unite and love each other.
Then the world can maintain peace in the face of a big lie.

Dr. Manhattan understands the world. Since he can only deceive like this, he is willing to bear the reputation of a demon. Anyway, he has more universes to explore.
Rorshach couldn't accept such an ending, but also didn't want the world to be in chaos in the truth, so he chose to die. If he lives, he will not give in, and death is his only way to compromise. The closest thing to reality tends to make a person crazy.
There are more people like Nite Owl II and Silk Spectre II, they represent the majority of the world, as long as they can live quietly, it doesn't matter what kind of lies. Everyone is a liar and deceives himself when he deceives others.
