I watched the documentary over two days while working out at night. Every time I see Alex scrambling up a rock face, I run faster, as if I'm on that cliff face too, and if I don't exercise properly, I'll fall off it.
There are too many definitions of the value and meaning of life in universal values. To pursue success, to pursue happiness and joy, at the very least, to pursue to live as long as possible. So from this point of view, these people who do freehand rock climbing are simply unreasonable. What is the purpose of climbing cliffs of thousands of meters with only their own hands without protection?
Alex's girlfriend asked him, do you feel obligated to continue your life as long as possible?
"I don't think I have this obligation," Alex said.
In other words, it is not his obligation to live longer. He believes that happiness and joy are simple goals that everyone can pursue. He does not pursue happiness and joy, he only pursues the ultimate concentration.
He did too. After four hours of freehand climbing on the Emirates Peak, he became the first person in the world. He really found the meaning of his life in freehand rock climbing.
