Real life adaptation: Little Rudy dreamed of being part of the football team at the University of Notre Dame since he was a child. The fourth application was only accepted by the University of Notre Dame after working part-time and studying preparatory courses. In the rugby team selection, with the earnest and desperate energy, he finally stayed on the sparring team. Every sparring game was treated like a Super Bowl. He was about to graduate in a blink of an eye, and he didn't even play as a substitute. In the last game of his college career, all the players begged the coach to let him play, but he was too short, too small, and lacking in athleticism, and the coach never let go. With 27 seconds left before the end of the game, the players worked hard to create opportunities for Rudy to play. So Rudy became a hero!
I don't buy the American dream. It's a good thing to have a dream, but an unrealistic dream is not necessarily true. Playing the final 27 seconds was not something he was capable of earning, nor did he contribute anything to the team. Be sure to say what he won, only respect or sympathy. Rudy in the moment is the standard "believe in the power of believing" or in other words "unsure".
The movie could pack him into the American spirit, I just want to say I don't want to be Rudy!
